據悉，特魯多將於這個星期三在溫哥華參加GLOBE會議，因此提前和家人來溫哥華度過一個簡短的小假期。

杜魯多跟溫哥華緣分不淺，他在卑詩大學（UBC）教育系獲得學士學位，畢業後在溫哥華兩家學校先後任教社會科和法語科。1990年末曾在惠斯勒任職滑雪教練。
