【新唐人2014年10月03日訊】梁振英拒辭職 黃之鋒籲抗議者克制
香港「佔中」運動10月2號進入第五天，「學聯」要求香港特首梁振英，最遲在2號午夜前辭職，否則會將行動升級，包圍包括特首辦在內的政府機關。
香港警方也做好了部署，當天下午已經將催淚彈、橡膠子彈、警棍等暴力器械，運送到了特首辦公室。
香港《明報》援引警方高層的話說，如果示威者衝擊警方防線，「警方一定會使用有關器械應付示威者」。
當晚大約有2千名以學生為主的香港市民，持續包圍特首辦，高喊「梁振英下臺」﹔香港警方則派出數百名警察守衛，同時不斷現場喊話，呼籲不要衝撞警方防線。
深夜11點半，在最後通牒期限前半小時，梁振英召開記者會，表示委派政務司司長林鄭月娥，與「學聯」會面討論政改，但他不會辭職。
梁振英記者會完結後，「學民思潮」召集人黃之鋒，在特首辦外發言回應，他呼籲集會人士克制，不要佔領龍和道。
他說，任何社會運動都不希望有人受傷，他不希望佔領龍和道換來警方的橡膠子彈。
美媒：北京授意梁振英改變策略
據美國《華爾街日報》10月2號報導，梁振英目前看似對示威者克制、容忍的策略，來自北京的授意。
報導引述知情人士的話透露，北京要求梁振英耐心等待示威繼續，直至示威者疲纍自行散去，或者由於佔領行動帶來不便，示威者失去公眾支持，而被迫停止行動。
知情人士說，北京要求梁振英以和平方式解決「佔中」，不能動用武力。
不過，知情人士還說，這個策略只適用於短期，如果示威持續到下週，策略就可能改變。
美國一週關閉兩所孔子學院
美國賓夕法尼亞州立大學10月1號宣佈，將在今年年底，終止與中共孔子學院的合作，不再續約。
這是一個星期以來，第二所宣佈與中共孔子學院停止合作的美國大學。在此之前，美國芝加哥大學已經在9月25號宣佈終止與孔子學院的合作。
中共自2004年開始，在全球各地開辦所謂的「孔子學院」，名為推廣漢語，實際上是借孔子之名向海外輸出共產毒素，最近幾年頻頻遭遇海外學者的抵制。

Stalemate in Hong Kong as Leung Chun-ying Refused to Resign
October 2nd is the 5th day of the Hong Kong Central Occupy.
Hong Kong Federation of Students (HKFS) asked the Hong
Kong Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying to resign before
midnight October 2nd .
If not, the protests will be stepped up to surround the government agencies including the Chief Executive’s Office.
Hong Kong police were heavily deployed in the afternoon with
tear gas, rubber bullets, batons and other repressive weapons
to the Chief Executive’s Office.
Hong Kong Ming Pao quoted a senior police official warning
that if the demonstrators threaten the police defense, the police
will use brute force to deal with them.
That night, about 2,000 Hong Kong people, mainly students
continued to surround the Chief Executive’s Office and shouted:
“Leung Chun-ying step down!".
Hundreds of Hong Kong police defended and continue to warn
them not to collide with the police line.
At 11:30pm, Leung Chun-ying held a news conference half
an hour before the ultimatum deadline.
He said he will let the Chief Secretary of Administration Carrie
Lam discuss political reform with HKFS, but he will not resign.
The Scholarism sponsor Huang ZhiFeng urged the rally members
after the press conference to restrain, and not occupy
Lung Wo Road.
He said that we don’t want anyone hurt in the social movement.
He doesn’t want people to get hit with rubber bullets for
occupying Lung Wo Road.
America media: Beijing Suggests Leung Chun-ying to Change
Strategy
According to the US Wall Street Journal report on October 2nd,
Leung Chun-ying’s current restraint and tolerance strategy
towards the demonstrators is inspired from Beijing.
The report quoted sources as saying that the Beijing authorities
requested Leung Chun-ying to wait until the demonstrators get
tired and disperse,
or lose public support because of the inconvenient occupation.
The sources said that the Beijing authorities require the peaceful
settlement of Central Occupy not force.
However, the sources said that the policy only applies for the
short term and might be changed if the demonstration continues
into next week.
U.S. : Two Universities Dump Chinese Confucius Institute
October 1, Pennsylvania State University announced that it will
terminate co-operation with the Chinese Confucius Institute. Co-operation will be terminated at the end of this year.
It’s the second US University to announce termination of
co-operation with the Confucius Institute within one week.
Prior to this, the University of Chicago had announced
the termination of co-operation with the Confucius Institute on
September 25th.
Since 2004, the CCP peddled the so-called Confucius Institute
globally to propagate communist toxic doctrines overseas under
the mask of Chinese language promotion.
It has frequently encountered resistance from overseas scholars.
