【禁聞】中國每年500名中小學生自殺 孩子怎麼啦?

【新唐人2014年05月16日訊】根據統計資料顯示,自殺成了大陸死亡的第5大原因。雖然對中小學生自殺很難有準確的統計數字,但中共官媒日前聲稱,大陸每年大約有500名中小學生,因不堪應試教育和繁重的學業壓力等原因自殺。本應該是歡聲笑語、無憂無慮的年華選擇自殺,這不能不讓人深思。

4月初,一名13歲江蘇男學生因未完成作業而上吊自殺﹔四川達州市渠縣的一名高一男生,也從學校實驗樓跳下身亡。

今年2月底,甘肅《蘭州晚報》報導說,蘭州市在3天時間內,就有3名中學生相繼自殺。

湖南「新化一中」教師羅美華認為,現在社會太注重分數了,造成沒有背景的家庭壓力很大,父母只能對孩子施加壓力,孩子又沒有其他精神的東西去寄託,造成他們出問題。

湖南新化一中教師羅美華:「家長一些方面的影響,社會也沒有一些政策性的輿論導向,也沒有對學生疏導,所以遇到事情一想不開就自殺了。」

大陸「結石寶寶」家長蔣亞林認為,中國教育體系出現了問題,學校採用的是「填鴨式」的教育方法,分數至上,老師決定一切,學生不能有一點個人的想法。造成學生死板、不靈活。

蔣亞林表示,孩子們在學校學習不好會受到各種歧視。學校這種巨大的競爭力和學習壓力,使孩子們的心裡很容易出問題。

大陸結石寶寶家長蔣亞林:「現在獨生子女居多,家人一般對於孩子來說都是採用誇讚的方式,很少會去批評,所以孩子的抗壓能力本身就差一點。」

最近大陸當局出爐的《教育藍皮書》顯示,大多數的自殺學生,都是因為無法承受考試教育制度的強大壓力而自殺,有將近三分之二的學生自殺事件,是發生在下半學年要考試的時候。

《藍皮書》指出,去年「五一長假」之後,南京市同一天連續發生兩起中小學生自殺事件,都跟學生沒有完成作業有關。

去年初,南京《青少年綜合服務臺》對900名中小學生,進行了生命意識教育現狀調查,有4%的中小學生經常存有自殺的念頭,偶爾有自殺念頭的也佔到了35%。

上海的調查結果也不樂觀:有24.39%的中小學生曾有一閃而過的「結束自己生命」的想法,認真考慮過這個想法的佔到15.23%,5.85%的孩子曾計劃自殺,1.71%的中小學生自殺未遂。

旅美中國問題學者謝選駿指出,2500多年前,孔子就提倡因材施教理念,可是到了現代,這個理念卻沒有得到貫徹。謝選駿對《自由亞洲電臺》說,考得不好不一定不是人才。「比爾-蓋茨」大學沒有畢業,但是他做企業有一套。

旅居美國的前「山東大學」史學教授劉因全表示,美國注重的實際動手能力,與只注重分數的大陸不一樣。

旅美前山東大學史學教授劉因全:「美國的學校,一般的小學生只上半天多一點的課,到中學也是,大約下午3點就放學了。而且,他上學的時候,有大量的時間學習一些實用的東西,比如說彈琴、游泳、一些體育文娛活動,甚至學做飯。」

劉因全認為,中國的貧富分化非常嚴重,普通民眾在社會上受到各方面的壓力就非常大。這些壓力都會被家長傳遞到孩子身上去,用各種方法強迫孩子學習,望子成龍。

劉因全:「我在美國生活我知道,美國對兒童的保護無微不至。如果父母打罵孩子的話,孩子可以告。如果把孩子打傷了,即使孩子不告,一旦被老師、同學發現以後,老師和同學也會告。否則老師會犯法。」

《教育藍皮書》還公布了公眾對教育滿意度的調查結果:公眾對目前所在地域的總體教育狀況滿意度的評分僅58.28,在評價「小升初」時,不滿意度群體的比例更是高達74.64%。

What Is Wrong with Chinese Children: 500 School Students Commit Suicide Each Year in China

Statistics show that suicide is the fifth biggest cause of death
in China.
Although it is difficult to accurately compile suicide statistics
for preliminary and middle school students in China,
the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) recently announced
that about 500 commit suicide each year under academic
pressure brought about by the examination-based
education system.
Children should be carefree at their ages,
so why do they commit suicide?
This becomes a serious question every Chinese faces.

In early April, a 13-year-old Jiangsu boy hanged himself
when he did not finish homework.
Another 10th-grade boy jumped off his school’s building
and died in Qu county, Dazhou city of Sichuan province.

Lanzhou Evening Daily reported this February that three
Lanzhou middle school students had committed suicide
in three days.

China Daily, a CCP mouthpiece, quoted a National Health
and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) journal, which
reported that about 500 Chinese students from preliminary
or middle school died by suicide each year.

Luo Meihua, a teacher at Xinhua No.1 Middle School
in Hunan province, said Chinese society is stressing
test scores too much.
This creates a lot of pressure for students from
ordinary families, especially from their parents.
Those children have no other way to relax their minds,
and this sometimes causes serious problems.

Luo Meihua: “Children are pushed by parents
but there is no help from Chinese media.
They never provide supervision regarding
how to relax children’s minds.
Therefore when they take anything too hard
they may just commit suicide."

Jiang Yalin, parent of the “kidney stone baby",
believes China’s education system is seriously flawed.
Chinese schools use a forced-feeding fashion
to educate students, regarding test scores
as most important.
Teachers are like bosses and do not allow
any individual opinion from the students.
This leads to fixed and patterned minds of all students.

Jiang Yalin said children with poor grades
are discriminated against in many ways.
Huge academic pressure from intense competition in school
makes it easy for students to develop mental problems.

Jiang Yalin: “Now most children are the only child
of their families.
They are mostly praised a lot and seldom
see criticism at home.
Therefore they are more vulnerable to pressure."

The CCP authority recently released an education blue book
which said most students who commit suicide could not
handle the immense pressure caused
by the examination-based education system.
Two-thirds of suicide cases occurred during the second
semester of a year, when all kinds of examinations are coming.

The blue book also mentioned that two children
from Nanjing committed suicide on the same day
after the May holidays last year.
In both cases the victims could not finish
their holiday homework.

Early in 2013, Nanjing surveyed 900 preliminary
or middle school students on their consciousness of life.
The results showed that 4 percent of these students
frequently think about suicide and 35 percent
occasionally think about it.

In Shanghai, the situation is no better.
About 24.39 percent of Shanghai students have had
the thought of ending their lives flash into their mind
and 15.23 percent have seriously considered it.
5.85 percent have planned their suicide and 1.71 percent
have made suicide attempts.

Xie Xuanjun, a China affairs scholar, commented that
Confucius had presented the idea of individualized education
over 2,500 years ago.
However, his idea was not implemented in modern China.
Xie told Radio Free China that high scores
do not necessarily indicate great ability.
Bill Gates failed to graduate from his university
but he is extremely talented at running a company.

Liu Yinquan, former Shandong University history professor,
said education in the U.S. places more emphasis
on practical ability than test scores, which differs
tremendously from China.

Liu Yinquan: “In the U.S., most preliminary school students
only take classes for half the day.
Middle school students also finish their schooling
by roughly 3pm.
What’s more, even in school, students in the U.S. spent a lot
of time learning practical activities such as piano, swimming
and other sports or cultural activities.
They even learn cooking at school."

Liu said polarization of wealth is very serious in China.
Ordinary people are subject to huge social pressure
in many ways.

Those pressures are frequently transferred to children
by their parents.
They force children to study and burden them
with their high expectations.

Liu Yinquan: “Now I am living in the U.S. so I know that
the U.S. takes protecting children extremely seriously.
If any parent beats or scolds a child, the child can report
it to the government.
If a child is injured, his teacher and classmate
can also report it even if the child does not report it.
It is the teacher’s responsibility to do that, otherwise
he or she violates the law."

The blue book also announced a survey regarding
Chinese people’s degree of satisfaction
with the education system.
The survey gives a low score of 58.28 in assessing
public degree of satisfaction about local education.
In addition, 74.64 percent are not satisfied with the entrance
system from preliminary school to middle school.
