Chen Guangcheng Wins 2012 Human Rights Award
On October 24, Chinese blind activist Chen Guangcheng
won the 2012 Human Rights Award from the organization of “Human Rights First (HRF) “, which is based in the U.S.
The award ceremony is held in New York.
Hollywood star Christian Bale, who tried to visit Chen
last year, personally presented him with the award.
In his opening remarks, Chen expressed that though
he hadn’t received formal legal training, he understood what justice is, and not only from school.
If the innocent kids were beaten, people
with conscience can’t only stand by.
The CCP authorities spent several
years illegally suppressing him.
This is not only because of his individuality, but also because
the CCP is afraid of Chinese people helping each other.
They are afraid that if the Chinese people aren’t afraid
of the CCP, their force and the menace is no longer useful.
