The White House Responds to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
Organ Harvesting Investigation For the First Time

The White House finally formally responded for the first time
regarding the investigation and condemnation
of live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners
initiated by three U.S. medical experts.
International Organization to Investigate the Persecution
of Falun Gong spokesman confirmed the White House
response and hopes the U.S. government will be more
proactive in stopping the CCP’s live harvesting atrocity.

The open petition began on Dec. 2, 2012
at the White House (We the People) website.
By now, over 34,000 signatures
have been collected.
The petition stated that organ harvesting is against humanity
and the criminal act has persisted for more than 10 years.
As a world leader in protecting human rights, the U.S.
has a moral obligation to expose these crimes.

The White House issued a formal response
on Jan. 30.
The White House said the U.S. government opposes
illegal and unethical organ harvesting and trafficking.

The White House said China’s leaders have announced
a pledge to abolish the practice of taking human organs
for transplant from executed prisoners, although we are aware
of continued reports of such practices.
We take such allegations very seriously and will continue
to monitor the situation and the actions
that Chinese authorities take to fulfill this commitment.

The White House noted that the Chinese government’s
human rights practices and treatment
of Falun Gong practitioners remain causes for concern.

Since 1999, the Secretary of State has designated China
as a “Country of Particular Concern" under the International
Religious Freedom Act for having engaged in or tolerated
particularly severe violations of religious freedom.

As reported in the State Department’s 2013 Country Report
on Human Rights Practices and the 2013 International
Religious Freedom Report, the Chinese government’s respect
for and protection of religious freedom have deteriorated.

International Organization to Investigate the Persecution
of Falun Gong spokesman Wang Zhiyuan commented
favorably on the White Houses response.

Wang Zhiyuan: “The response was very good.

It’s the first time the White House gave such a response
to the CCP organ harvesting.
It means this matter attracted the attention in Western society,
especially from the U.S. government.
It also indicates the truth of CCP live organ harvesting
from Falun Gong practitioners has been confirmed
by more people in Western society.

It’s a good thing."

However, Wang Zhiyuan believes it is not enough
for the U.S. government, because they should immediately
stop CCP live organ harvesting atrocities.

Wang Zhiyuan: “It has taken a while for the truth
to be exposed in Western society and globally.
The White House response is a good step, but not enough.

The U.S. government should not only investigate,
but organize a field investigation to immediately stop
the genocide in China."

In addition to the condemnation from the international
community, the anti-live organ harvesting signature campaign
from mainland Chinese is ongoing.

Tens of thousands of people signed against live harvesting
in Zhangjiakou city, Hebei province between
last July to December only.

By the end of last December, more than 41,000 people
signed against live organ harvesting and requested
an investigation into those involved including Jiang Zemin,
Zhou Yongkang, Bo Xilai, and others.

Mainlander Li Sui: “Tens of thousands of people signed
to appeal.
At least it has proved that people have a right to know
and not be infected by the party culture.
People are already aware of some truth,
and aren’t just listening to the Party."

Wang Zhiyuan: “It indicates two issues— one is the truth
is exposed gradually and people have begun to awaken;
The second is that Jiang Zemin’s persecution policy
of Falun Gong began to fully disintegrate."

According to a Minghui report, a retired worker saw
the picture and text regarding CCP atrocities of organ
harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners and said
angrily, “Jiang Zemin did so many bad things, I’ll sign the form!”
Then he signed his name, included his fingerprints,
and also withdrew from the Communist party,
groups and team organizations.

Li Sui: “It is inhumane.

I will certainly press my fingerprint to support
if you let me stand on the side of justice.
I know they continue to persecute, probably
since nine years ago.
People are very angry.
But I still think not enough people know the truth."

According to the Minghui report, former CCP leader
Jiang Zemin built a large-scale military industry around
live organ harvesting and trafficking with the lead
of the army, the core of General Logistics Department
the corporation of the police, political and legal system,
the health system and black organ intermediary.
The industry systematically massacres Falun Gong
practitioners as a genocide population.
However, International Investigation noted that due
to the relatively closed nature of the military system,
as well as the destruction of evidence, it’s difficult
to investigate centralized custody and national deployment
of transplanted organs from the outside.
