Has The Case of Bo Xilai and Gu Kailai Concluded?
Did Bo Guagua Lose His Favorable Position?

The dramatic trial of former Chinese Communist Party
(CCP) Chongqing Secretary Bo Xilai has ended.
On October 7 Chinese media recalled Bo Xilai’s son
Bo Guagua’s journey from a “star" overseas student to
“losing his favorable position."

Bo Xilai’s son Bo Guagua has been studying abroad
in recent years.
He is into parties and likes fast cars and beautiful girls.

He is generous in spending money, and is a well-known
“playboy" around the world.

As an important insider to the cases of Bo Xilai, Gu Kailai
and Wang Lijun, Bo Guagua never returned to China.
He didn’t publish any statements in Chinese.

But his life abroad was partially revealed through the trials.

Bo Xilai’s wife Gu Kailai purchased a villa
in France for Bo Guagua.
Dalian businessman Xu Ming once gave 4.43 million yuan
to Gu Kailai and Bo Guagua for travel expenses.

According to Bo Xilai’s trial records, Gu Kailai confessed
that in 2008 British businessman Haywood, who she poisoned,
requested Bo Guagua via email for the previously promised
“Project Agency Fee" of 1.4 million pounds.
Commentators believe Bo Xilai’s 25-year old son seems
to be in charge of Bo family’s overseas assets.
He is somehow involved in this mysterious project.

However, through CCTV and the live broadcast of the
Jinan Intermediate People’s Court’s microblogging,
Bo Xilai cut his connections with his favorite son.
The media state Bo Guagua and his father’s relationship
might have cracks.

On August 26, Bo Xilai said in self-defense: “Guagua
asked for branded watches, luxury cars, international travel,
and to cover the expenses of his group of classmates.
He also charged his credit card over the limit.
How can I live with a son like this?"

Bo Guagua responded to his father’s accusations.

During his interview with Southern Weekly on September 1,
he said: “I will not argue now. I will wait for a conclusion,
and then decide whether to make an appropriate answer."

US-based China issue researchers Zhang Jian thinks relations
between Bo Xilai and Bo Guagua will not have gaps.

He said, without the support of his parents, it is impossible
for Bo Guagua to live a luxurious live overseas.

Zhang Jian: “The CCP news always carrys political agendas.
To involve Bo Guagua to this complicated case is to show
people that whether someone is guilty or not is all controlled."

Zhang Jian believes this is to warn those who support
Bo Xilai:Bo Guagua is still under the CCP’s control.
The CCP can arrest him for these crimes.

In the end of August, 2013, Bo Guagua was photographed
at a party held by Columbia Law School with a smiling face.
On September 2, Beijing Daily published an article stating
Bo Guagua is an accomplice in Bo’s case and a “Global arrest
warrant should be issued."

Chinese senior legal expert Zhao Yuanming: “Bo Guagua’s
funds should also be taken back.
It is a large amount of money via illegal means.
All the money was exploited from the Chinese people.
They should not stay overseas spending people’s money."

Japan’s Asahi Shimbun disclosed on April 21, 2012, that the
Bo Xilai couple moved $6 billion of illegal income overseas.

Bo Guagua, born in 1987, was the favorite kid of the
Bo family. He was sent to study at U.K. at age 11.
In 2006, he studied at Oxford.

A few years ago, the CCP media pushed Bo Guagua
into the public by reporting his life overseas.
In June 2009, the Chongqing authorities made Bo Guagua’s
school experience to be part of the program called “Making
China Voices."

However, British Daily Telegraph says his teachers have
contempt for him over his “Playboy" style.

The report stated Bo Guagua did not pass the tests at “Oxford."

Three CCP diplomats visited his teacher Dr. Andrew Graham,
demanding Bo Guagua take the exam again.
Later, the school refused to write letters of recommendation
for this application to “Harvard."

Bo Xilai was sentenced to life imprisonment
during the first trial.
The public is paying close attention to see if the Bo Xilai case
will have a second trial.
Will Bo Guagua will be involved? Will it bring greater
political turmoil to the CCP?
