Explosion In Xiamen

When a bus in Xiamen was bombed, the police insisted
that a local petitioner Chen Shuizong was the suspect.
They refused to release Chen’s suicide note and specific
detection details, causing public questions and criticism.
These actions also raised the concerns of people for
petitioners in China.

According to Deutsche Welle,
there are at least 50 million petitioners annually.
Most of them can never get back to normal life.

In despair, they either start working for the public,
or take the risk to do something.

It is reported that after 13 years of petitioning
Masanjia Forced Labor Camp victim Liu Hua finally
saw through the petition game of the
Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Those officials rely on petitioners for a living and profit,
but never really solve problems.
Last year, after her second release from Masanjia,
she never went to higher authorities to petition.
She started to organize the other petitioners to
actively participate in public activism.

Xiamen police named Chen Shuizong,
a Xiamen petitioner as the arsonist.
The public opinion believes that after years of
prevarication and flicker by Chinese officials,
he finally saw through the petition game,
but chose an extreme form of retaliation.

Call For Anti-Corruption Petitioners’ Release

On June 10, several human rights organizations
concerned about China jointly issued a statement
about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) repression
of anti-corruption activists.
From late March to late May, at least a dozen anti-corruption
activists in Beijing and Jiangxi were arrested by the CCP.
10 people have been formally arrested, which means
they are likely to be prosecuted and convicted.

Human rights groups called on the CCP to immediately
release them and withdraw all charges.

Latest Rules On Immigration

Recently, Contention magazine in Hong Kong wrote that

the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) latest draft on
internal controls and foreign control immigration laws were divided into three.

The first part is for the internal control;
five kinds of people were not permitted to go abroad.
These included people related to the CCP,
government, and military systems.
Also people listed by provincial public security, security or
judiciary departments as having “dangerous actions", etc.

The second is that internally controlled foreign
organizations, individuals and foreign activists exiled abroad, cannot enter
China or return home.
They include “organizations, groups, key members opposing,
subversive or hostile to China, the CCP and government."

Thirdly is the internally controlled organizations and
people from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions.
They cannot enter China or go back to the mainland.

It is said that about 32-45organizations and groups in Hong
Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions are under internal control.
There are about 260- 330 people under internal control.

Armed Police Conflict With Villagers

Villagers in Pucheng Village, Wutong Township, Yongtai,
Fujian Province had months of conflicts with officials.
They were fighting against forced construction
of a high-voltage tower.
On June 8, the county head of Yongtai County, Fuzhou
personally led thousands of armed police and the construction team to Pucheng Village.
During forcible construction, thousands of villagers held
tools to revolt, both sides broke out violent clashes.
Dozens of villagers were injured. It is reported
one villager was killed and five were detained.

Chinese Jasmine Revolution website reported that

the local government insisted on building the
high-voltage tower in residential area in PuCheng Village,
and power lines will go through the village.

It was strongly opposed by villagers, believing that
it is hazardous to peoples’ health.
