Bo’s Prison Term: A Heated Discussion on Weibo

After former Chongqing Police Chief Wang Lijun’ lenient
sentence of 15 years, how will the CCP deal with Bo Xilai?
This is a concern not only of the overseas media,
but a heated discussion by mainland netizens on Weibo too.

Recently, “6688.com" founder Laorong posted this message
on Weibo: “Bo Xilai case will be published on October 15.
Veteran cadres should convey this tonight,
giving him a sentenced of 20 years in prison."

Although this posting was soon removed,
its content has been widely spread.

Netizen Henan Xinyang Liu Kai said: “After Wang Lijun’s
verdict, Bo will be dismissed from his post and from CCP, and transferred to the judicial administration;
but the decision won’t be made
until the 18th National Congress of the CCP.
Taking into account his so-called “offensive harboring” of
the murderer and possible bigger corruption than Wang Lijun, Bo’s prison term might be longer than Wang Lijun’s."

Japanese Businesses in China to Move in Southeast Asia.

Impacted by the Diaoyu’ tense Sino-Japanese relations,
Japanese businesses in mainland China suffer serious setback.
Many Japanese companies in China consider transferring
to Southeast Asian countries.

According to the Central News Agency, two Japanese senior
managers of department stores said they will consider transferring to the Southeast Asia.
One of them, Takashimaya Department Store, was originally
preparing to open branch in Shanghai in November this year.

AFP report also pointed out that the Sino-Japanese relations
were tense, which prompted Japanese companies to consider transferring to Southeast Asian countries, like Myanmar.
Tokyo-based economist said, it is not sure that anti-Japanese
demonstrations would not be re-started soon.

AFP also noted that it is not only the demonstrations
that make staying in China a gamble.
The complex administrative procedures, especially customs
procedures also add to many Japanese companies feeling increasing sense of urgency.
