A Day All Chinese People Refuse To Forget

Over the past 24 years, and with the gradual
exposure of the truth, June 4 has not been forgotten.
More and more people are beginning
to pay attention to the June 4 events.
They are also taking many opportunities to commemorate.

Wu Renhua, a historical literature scholar, has
tracked more than 3,000 soldiers who participated
in the “June 4th” incident, and student massacre.
In addition, a photo of a ‘man stopping tanks’ toy appeared
in the Children’s Day Photo Album launched by “NetEase”.
The indicates that it is difficult to prohibit people from
commemorating June 4, even under CCP control.

24 years after the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre, the
Chinese Communist Party (CCP) still treats it as a big taboo.
The CCP not only refused to re-evaluate the June 4 incident,
but also refused any form of mourning of the victims.
However, with the popularity of social media,
it is difficult to conceal and control information.

Many Chinese people, whether at home or abroad,
use a variety of possible ways to mourn June 4.

Wu Renhua, a historical literature scholar, was
exiled to the U.S. after the June 4 incident.
Wu was one of the leaders in the student movement in 1989.

He is also one of the first teachers
to join the democratic movement.
After graduating from Peking University, he worked at the
China University of Political Science and Law before 1989.

Wu Renhua said that ever since the CCP
established it’s regime in 1949, a lot of people
have been killed by various political campaigns.
2.46 million people were shot during the
suppression of the counter-revolutionary movement.
Millions of people died during the “Cultural Revolution”.
However, he stressed, there are no records left.
A lot of the truth about June 4 is concealed, which
he refuses to accept, as a first-hand witness.

Wu Renhua: “After 24 years, a lot of young people,
especially the post 90’s generation, do not know the truth.
They are under the CCP’s information blockade, and the
media influence reverses what is black and what is white.
There is an important list of names of perpetrators, which
includes soldiers who belonged to the martial law troops.
Up until now, over 3000 names of soldiers who
joined the June 4 incident were collected into the list.
This includes the troop designations,
their ranks and their current jobs.”

Wu Renhua was informed during his investigation that

three tanks chased a group of students who fled from
Tiananmen Square on the morning of June 4, 1989.
Eleven people were killed on the spot,
and dozens of students were injured.

Wu Renhua: “The tank was No. 106.

During my investigative process, I got
the tank soldier’s name on occasion.
His name is Wu Yanhui. Finally, after tracking, I
know this person was the second gunner in the tank.”

Subsequently, Wu Renhua published the
soldier’s mobile phone number on the Internet.
Some netizens called the number for confirmation,
and published the results online, causing a sensation.

Wu’er Kaixi, another leader in the student movement in 1989,
went to the Chinese Consulate and warned the CCP.
He said that more and more that
Chinese people do not fear the CCP now.

Wu’er Kaixi: “After 24 years, we want to have results.
Results here mean recognizing who is responsible.
At the same time, we need to recognize: Only innocence
and fearlessness can help us to take responsibility.
Do not be afraid of the (CCP) regime itself.”

Commentator Lin Zixu said that he was a child
when June 4 took place, but there are memories.
At that time, the CCP’s propaganda made you
feel that there were many thugs in Beijing.
He particularly recalled an image of a charred corpse.

Lin Zixu: “After I came abroad, I saw a lot
of true stories on the June 4 incident.
My feeling was indescribable. I felt that
I was deceived by the CCP thoroughly.
One of the mainland media used several
pictures of toys to celebrate Children’s Day.
There was one picture showing a ‘man stopping tanks’ toy,
mimicking when Wang Weilin stopped the tanks alone.
It indicates that Chinese people
have not forgotten the CCP’s crimes.
Chinese people do not want their next generation to forget.
I think every Chinese person should refuse to forget.”

Lin Zixu comments that the CCP just
wants Chinese people to forget it’s history.
The CCP wants to use time to fade their crimes slowly.

However, he said that more and more people,
including those in the post-90s generation, are
starting to seek the truth, which is very exciting.
