Local National Security officer named as major
suspect in Li Wangyang’s sudden death

Li Wangyang known as “iron man of June 4th incident”
and Hunan democratic activist, mysteriously died.
It was reported on June 9th that his body had been
forcibly cremated by the authority.
This aroused a strong response
from the international society.
Some non-Chinese media revealed that, a squad leader of
Shaoyang National Security force,
Zhao Luxiang was named as the major suspect
for Li Wangyang’s death.
Some analysts said the Politics and Law Commission led by
Zhou Yongkang was the real culprit behind the murder.
They further called for Hu Jintao, Wen Jiabao and people
from the international society to break silence on this crime.

A few days after the 23rd anniversary of
the “June 4th incident”,
Li Wangyang (who actively supported the democratic
movement in 1989) died mysteriously in hospital.
Although the authorities claimed that the death was a suicide,
much evidence from the scene cast doubt on this conclusion.
As more requests were voiced on re-investigating the truth
behind Li’s death, authorities carried out house arrests.
Li Wangyang’s family members and some democratic
advocates were taken into custody.
Authorities performed an autopsy without permission from
Li’s family, and then forcibly cremated his body on June 9th.

This news aroused enormous anger towards the Chinese
Communist Party’s (CCP) cruelty after the news was released.
Both Chinese and non-Chinese people reacted to this.

Chair of Hong Kong Alliance,
Lee Cheuk-yan told Apple Daily that,
the authority was obviously trying to wipe out evidence.

This only made more people doubt that his death
was suicide and convinced them that it was murder.

Retired professor of Shandong University,
Sun Wenguang said that
according to his own experience during the June 4th
incident, there was no way Li’s death was down to suicide.

Sun Wenguang says: ”What the local National Security
forces have done is very questionable.
As I experienced myself during the June 4th incident,
there is 24-hour surveillance on Li Wangyang.
In that case it’s almost impossible for Li to find any suicide
methods in the hospital, especially as he was blind and deaf.
I believe an investigation should be ordered into
what the National Security team did to Li.
This will reveal what they are responsible for.”

Canyu.org revealed a top secret message from a high-level
officer of Hunan Public Security system called Zhao Luxiang.
He is a squad leader of Shaoyang National Security force
and is the major suspect in Li’s death.
Zhao is a die-hard executor of persecuting
democratic activists in Shaoyang.
He became famous during the June 4th incident
for his cruelty in suppressing students and workers.
He was also involved in Li Wangyang’s both imprisonments.

The report also described Zhao as a merciless person with
some mafia connections.
He and his younger brother Zhao Pixiang are both members
of a local gangster group.
They are said to act totally lawlessly under the protection of
Zhou Benshun, secretary-general of Central Politics and Law Commission.

Sina.com.hk cited Hunan democratic activist
Huang Lihong’s words that
on June 6th Zhao Luxiang intimidated Li Wangyang’s
whole family by calling their names one by one;
His evilness reminded people of the espionage agency
under the eunuch’s leadership in Ming Dynasty.

At the same time, founder of “Investigation Committee on
Li Wangyang’s death” Zhou Zhirong, Li’s friend Lei Deming,
Yin Zheng’an and Zhu Chengzhi have all been
under house arrest of National Security forces.

Former student leader in the June 4th incident Liu Gang
said that
Zhou Yongkang recently issued an order to murder active
democratic activists inside and outside of China;
Li Wangyang accepted an interview from Hong Kong
media on June 4th, which irritated Zhou.
This put Li first on the murder list for local forces
who are carrying out Zhou’s order.

Chinese human right activist Hu Jun believed that it’s
Zhou Yongkang’s Politics and Law system that killed Li Wangyang;
the world can learn how evil the CCP is from the incident.

Hu Jun says: “As evil as Hitler was,
he didn’t kill the German people.
But the CCP regime can kill its nationals,
including handicapped or blind civilians, in the cruelest ways.
I just don’t know how to accept this. Sometimes people
are talking about the ‘base line’.
I see no base line in CCP.
It can always be more unscrupulous than you thought.”

On June 10th, over 30 Hong Kong democratic groups
as well as the “Civil Human Rights Front”
initiated a ten-thousand-man protest, demanding
the truth behind Li Wangyang’s death.
Democratic groups in U.S. and Canada also protested
in front of the CCP consulates,
requiring investigation on the real culprit of Li’s death.

Hu Jun further said that if Hu-Wen continued to keep silent
by not confronting the crimes by Politics and Law system,
they would become accomplices of Zhou Yongkang;

The international society and human rights organizations
also must speak out against such inhuman crimes.
