Thousands of Demobilized Officers Protest To The
Department of General Politics

On May 20th thousands of demobilized officers from Chengdu,
Lanzhou, Jinan, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenyang Military
Regions gathered at the Department of General Politics Bureau
to once again appeal for the benefits of ex-servicemen.

According to Human Rights Campaign website in China,

some representatives were allowed to enter the compound
until the afternoon, while others waited at the entrance.

The Epoch Times news network stated these officers have
eight requests, such as reinstating their cadre status,
getting benefits of housing and medical care,
and so on in accordance with relevant policies.

The report says in recent years veterans across China
frequently visit Beijing due to complain about benefit issues.
They all face interception by local authorities.

Their reason to petition is local governments not following the
policies, and ignoring the veterans, causing great difficulty.
