North Korean TV shows hordes of mourners pouring into the Kumsusan Memorial Palace where Kim Jong-il is lying in state.

The footage was aired on Thursday by state broadcaster KRT but it’s not clear when it was filmed.

Kim’s son and designated successor was there again to greet diplomats visiting to pay their condolences.
金正日的儿子和指定继承人再次迎接外交官,以答他们的慰问。

Civilians are also being allowed in to express their grief.

Kim’s death has brought an influx of curious tourists to the South Korean side of the demilitarized zone that separates it from the North.

On Thursday, about a hundred came to take a look across the border.
上周四,约有百名民众到此探看边境。

[Lee In-hee, South Korean Tourist]:
“I was wondering what would happen in North Korea and I heard this Unification Observatory is the best position to look over the northern side of the border so I came here with my friends."
南韩游客李在熙说:“我好奇北韩会发生什么事,我听说这个统一展望台是查看北面边界最好的位置,所以我跟朋友就来了。”

Kim’s authoritarian rule ended on Saturday when he died aboard a train from a heart attack.
金正日的独裁统治于上周六结束。当他登上一列火车时,心脏病发作死亡。

His funeral is due to take place on December 28th.
他的葬礼预定于12月28日举行。
