【新唐人北京時間2020年02月01日訊】新加坡音樂創作人Alvin Oon於1月30日將新改編的防疫歌曲「Fight the Virus」上傳到個人臉書，12小時內傳遍亞洲。該曲改編自1965年發行的歌曲「沉默之聲」（The Sound of Silence）。
歌曲開頭便以「問題再次出現」（ Another problem’s here again）來形容武漢傳出的「新型冠狀病毒」。
該病毒被指和SARS病毒同種，很多人認為這次疫情是當年SARS的「二次爆發」。中共官方先是掩蓋疫情導致局勢失控，隨後又掀起名為「防疫戰」的政治運動，和17年前的SARS模式如出一轍。

歌曲「Fight the Virus」也提及，SARS依然深植人心，如今又出現「武漢病毒」擴散全球。除此之外，歌曲還描述了此次疫病的感染癥狀、傳播方式及防疫措施等。
歌曲上傳後，12小時內獲多國民眾分享，包含泰國、菲律賓等，中國也有人在微博分享。Alvin Oon又於當天發文，同意中國網友將歌曲翻譯成中文版本。
Alvin Oon表示，感謝原唱者Simon & Garfunkel，並期許這首歌曲能成為全球性防疫歌曲，為受疫情影響國家的民眾帶來喜悅與希望。Alvin Oon最後呼籲，希望全球能跨越國界與種族，一起對抗疫情。
