Xinjiang Police Shot And Killed Eight Uighurs

In mid-December, police killed 10 Uighurs in Shufu County,
Kashgar region, Xinjiang during a so-called “terrorist attack."
A similar killing occurred on Monday Dec. 30
in Shache (Yarkand) County, Kashgar.
The state-owned media reported that eight of the nine
“attackers" were killed at the scene and one was arrested.
An NTD television reporter was told by local residents that
they weren’t aware of the incident, and no bombing
attack had taken place.

Someone else said that the police told them to keep silent.

Overseas-based World Uyghur Congress (WUC) questioned
the current Chinese regime’s reformed means of repressing
the Uighurs by directly firing on and killing them
and then accusing them of so-called terror.

The state-owned Tianshan website reported that at around
6:30 a.m. on Dec. 30, nine “attackers" carrying knives
attacked a police station in Kashgar’s Yarkand County.

According to the report, they detonated explosive devices
and set police cars on fire.
Eight attackers were shot dead and one was captured.

The report neither provided more specific details regarding
the incident, nor mentioned whether any injuries occurred.
It said the incident was under investigation.

A restaurant owner near Yarkand told NTD that
no bombing attack took place.

Restaurant owner:"No bombing.
They only threw a few bottles.
After they threw the bottles, they were killed."

An NTD reporter contacted the local police station
but they were unwilling to make a comment.

NTD reporter:"Is this Yarkand County police station?
How many people were injured?"
Police:"We are very busy now,
we have no spare time."

The local residents dare not express their opinions
regarding the incident.

Shop owner A:"I am very sorry, this is not a convenient
time to talk."
Shop owner B:"We don’t know about it."

Hu Jun, founder of Human Rights Campaign in China calls
on the international community to express concern about
the incident and demand that the truth is restored.

Hu Jun:"The regime doesn’t want more people
to know the truth.
The regime intends to threaten people at home
and abroad with ‘dangerous’ Uighurs.
Like Falun Gong practitioners, at the time people dared not
talk about it, they felt scared.
The regime uses the same means to create killing incidents,
and puts more shadows and threats in people’s mind."

Radio Free Asia (RFA) reported that many local residents
were warned by the local regime.
They were told to keep silent on any similar incidents.

A Yarkand resident:"This is it. The regime doesn’t allow
us to spread ‘rumors.’ This is a secret issue for the regime."

Germany-based WUC said in a statement:
“Directly firing on and killing protesters and
accusing them of so-called terror
is currently China’s post-judicial reform means
of repressing the Uighur people."

Dilxat Raxit, WUC spokesman:"The local feedback
information tells us that the Uighurs are no longer too tolerant
of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) discrimination
and stigmatization.
Kashgar protests have been repeatedly suppressed
with killing, which has once again proved
the CCP’s suppression against the Uighurs,
and that the judicial procedure is ignored."

Since 2013, South of Xinjiang, especially in the Kashgar
and Hotan regions, incidents of police and residents
clashing have occurred several times.

During every incident, more than 10 Uighurs
were killed by police.
The state-owned media all reported using the same
stance, claiming the “attackers" carried knives
and other weapons.

In the end, the “attackers" were all shot dead by police.

Dilxat Raxit and a WUC leader Alptekin Erkin have accused
the Chinese regime of staging several massacres in Xinjiang.
They said that the CCP banned their religious events
and prohibit Muslim women from wearing a hijab in public.
The CCP forced Uighurs to join its party, seized
Uighurs’ land, and casually shoot at the residents.
The CCP’s control of Xinjiang’s cultural and religious events
has caused local people’s anger.
Thus the local Uighurs have to protest.
