CCP Claims 10 People Die in Accidental Mall Fire in Tianjin

On July 6, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Tianjin
Government formally announced a list of ten victims
of an accidental shopping mall fire on June 30, in Ji County.

The ten victims were all female. Nine of them were staff,
and only one of them was a customer. There was no missing persons.
The Ji County propaganda department said that after
the investigation results are released, they will respond to the rumors on internet.
Some microbloggers in mainland China say that when
the incident took place, the mall owners closed the doors,
and asked customers not to go before they had paid.
It resulted in 300 persons dying in the fire.
After the fire was extinguished, the entire shopping center,
and even the shop sign, was beyond recognition.
Such major news in mainland China was only discussed
on CCP state controlled CCTV.
CCTV reported the number of deaths,
but the death toll fixed in 10 persons.
Other media have almost no information about it.

The five major Tianjin newspapers, The Tianjin Daily,
“Evening News", “Meirixinbao", “City Express"
and “Bohai Morning Post" have no front page reports
regarding the shopping mall fire in Ji County.
With such a big fire, the Tianjin media
have seemed to have turned a blind eye.
Tianjin local media were completely
in a state of absence or memory loss.

A message was widely spread
on mainland Chinese microblogs.
As the fire began, mall broadcasters shouted to customers
that they were, “not allowed to go without paying the bill.”
The doors of the shopping mall were then shut, turning
it into a crematorium conducting a “cremation.”
Meanwhile, Ji County television was still playing
drama and entertainment programs.

The intense fire burned all the way from the second floor
upward, with almost all the windows emitting a flame.
It showed the entire second floor was engulfed in flames.

The fire engines had not had time to fight the blaze,
but the flames almost engulfed all the above floors.

Netizens posted messages and pointed out that despite
sending out a police force to cordon off a few blocks
in the surrounding area, and to clear out the site,
some people were living in neighboring buildings.
In the fire, there were more than 200 people who died,
and the county hospital morgue was full.

Driver Liu, Tianjin resident: “There were a lot
of people in the funeral parlors. It is full.
When I passed by, I saw quite a lot
of family members crying there.”

Mr. Wang, Tianjin resident: “Maybe several hundred persons
died in the fire, but the government will certainly not report. The news is now blocked.”

Ms Zhang, Tianjin resident: “When it was the weekend,
in the mall, there were promotion activities and discounts. There were many people there.”

What the CCP authorities have said is making the public
suspicious, because “Laide Commercial Building” is the largest mall in Ji County.
There were a lot of shopping crowds
and the fire on site was also very strong.
The big fire lasted seven hours before being extinguished.
According to eyewitnesses, many people jumped to escape.
With this situation, were there really only ten deaths?

Shenzhen scholar Zhu Jianguo said that the reports
on the network are just speculations.
The actual number of casualties is unknown.

If CCP authorities try to cover up the truth,
the public have no way to find out.

Zhu Jianguo: “Now under the system of the CCP,
official power cover ups are very strong.
Once they want to cover something up,
you are not able to get evidence.
So there are only public opinions.
The cover up is inevitable, it is certain.
But you don’t know how much they covered up.

You can say that for all accidents, they have never
honestly spoken the ultimate truth. They always covered up.
But the problem is that ordinary people
are not able to get the real evidence.”

Some netizens used examples.
If such a major accident happened in Japan,
the current news of victims would be shown
on TV at the top of the screen.
If such a major accident happened in the UK, the BBC
would conduct reports, showing the government approach and methods.
If such a major accident happened in Taiwan,
singers would go up on stage and conduct fundraising.
If such a major accident happened in the USA, there
would be a disaster movie telling you what happened.

Another netizen said that when the corpses are claimed,
the staff will quickly fill the number corpses to ten.
Why? This is because the CCP regime has said that
there were ten dead and sixteen injured in the fire.
