Professor Expelled from Twitter Speech for Confessing: “Sina Is not a Friend”.

Renmin University Professor, Zhang Ming recently announced
to leave Sina twitter.
He said, on twitter over the past few years he had suffered greatly
from Sina [censorship].
He said Sina’s chief editor, Chen Tong, had issued his deportation.

This message once again started discussion’s over CCP’s suppression
of free speech.

Zhang Ming quoted in Sina twitter: “Sina is not a friend”.

He said his reason for not leaving Sina was his popularity there,
but now “Old Chen" pronounced his expulsion, so he has to leave.

This post immediately gained over 7,000 comments.

18 minutes later, Zhang Ming again posted, “Sina’s goal is to
create an entertainment space for celebrities, punctuated by comedies
of the ‘fifty-cents gang.’

Sina simply serves as a pimp in between. Such entertainment space has no vitality.”
“Old Shen" refers to the twitter of Chen Tong, executive vice
president and chief editor of Sina.

On his twitter Zhang Ming often published incisive criticism,
but his posts were often deleted without explanation.
Zhang Ming said, he’d once complained to Chen Tong, saying
that he would leave Sina if it does not change its policy.
Chen responded with a song “Ah! Farewell Friend."
Zhang Ming took it to be expulsion.

Human rights activist Qin Yongmin, also expelled by Sina, said
he was not surprised by Sina’s activity.

Qin Yongmin stated: “I have used Sina for one day.
Sina sent me an invitation.
I was on Sina for one day before being expelled.
Once saying something beyond the bottom line, you are out.
There is simply no freedom of speech in China.”

Yu Jianrong and other celebrities on Sina spread Zhang’s
message, accusing Sina of its service policy.

Zhang Ming currently has 280,000 fans on Sina twitter.
Netizens said in anger: “If Old Chen continues, let’s all leave."

2011, in cooperation with CCP, Sina increased information
censorship and screening.

It deleted many posts of free speech, and banned many Sina twitter users.

Meanwhile, it launched “Rumor Refutal" to control information.

Well-known reporter Li Xiaomeng released a twitter post,
“Forget or not," listing Sina’s five crimes.

It criticized Sina managers, saying, “You have played too much
with twitter, and have used your humor in the wrong place, forgetting who you are.
Each user feels a chill, but we will not forget who you are. “

Zhang Xinyu, founder of Global Freedom of Information said,
it is hard to talk about freedom of speech under CCP’s rule.

With CCP’s tyranny, there is no future for the Chinese people.

Zhang Xinyu was quoted saying: “Now Sina is already under CCP’s control.
Ever since it started to seek power, CCP has never respected the law or principles.

Hu Xijin, chief editor of CCP’s mouthpiece Global Times
commented positively of CCP on Sina,
saying that CCP gradually increased its ability of self-correcting.

Independent critic Lang Yaoyuan responded on his twitter, saying:
during CCP’s rule, faith collapsed, officials corrupted, morality
decayed, leaving only the seeking of power and money.
The last 30 years saw the largest wealth gap, causing the low-class
people to suffer.
CCP submits to foreign powers and applies violence to its people.
Despite all this, CCP’s ability of “self-praise” has strengthened.
