Hong Kong Civil Central Occupy Launched.

The Police Start Shooting

The Hong Kong civil disobedience campaign against the

Chinese Communist Party (CCP) force-out on democratic

election continues to escalate. On the morning of Sept. 28,

Central Occupy officially started.

The protesters first occupied a public square attached to the

government’s headquarters.

After dawn, large numbers of people going to the square to

support Central Occupy were blocked by the police.

In the afternoon, the police announced they would seal off

roads around the square.

By forcing more and more supporters onto the road it would

bring the traffic to a standstill.

Later the police started repression by shooting several tear

gas canisters into the crowds.

They shouted warnings “Disperse Or We Fire" to the

protesters.

In the evening the sponsor Hong Kong Federation of Students

(HKFS) appealed to the rally for people to leave and preserve

strength because the police were shooting possibly using

live bullets.

HKFS also said that people are welcome to stay after the

risk assessment.

They will stay with people until the last minute.

Later, a Central Occupy sponsor, Chan Kin Man also said

that participants’ safety was important, because the police

were using high killing power weapons. However, leaving

doesn’t mean abandoning.

However, Hong Kong police denied the shooting allegation.

Hong Kong people were not intimidated by

the police brutality.

More people spontaneously took to the street to fight.

According to Hong Kong Apple Daily report, many people

protested on the road by sitting-in opposite the Sogo

department store in Causeway Bay and at Mongkok area.

Hong Kong Professional Teachers’ Union Issues Open

Letter to appeal Teachers Strike

Hong Kong Professional Teachers’ Union (HKPTU) expressed

extreme indignation and strong condemnation with the Hong

Kong police’s violent clear out and using weapons on unarmed

petitioners in an open letter to Hong Kong parents and students.

They decided to launch a teachers strike in Hong Kong.

KHPTU hopes students and parents can understand the appeal.

They hope students and parents understand the forced decision

and support the teachers.

Global Solidarity For Hong Kong’s Struggle For Democracy.

Hong Kong democratic activities for Universal suffrage also

got support from Hong Kong people around the world.

On the same day of the Central Occupy, solidarity rallies

were simultaneously launched in many countries and cities.

In New York, two hundred people gathered in Times Square

to support Hong Kong Central Occupy.

They protested at the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)

Consulate General in New York in downtown.

In San Francisco, more than 100 local Hong Kong people also

gathered in Union Square.

They were supporting the Hong universal suffrage

request by peaceful Central Occupy.

There are different sizes of solidarity rallies in other big cities

such as London, Los Angeles, Austin, Vancouver, Toronto etc.

People can’t have public meetings in the mainland;

So some activists also launched Bright Peak Campaign

shaving their hair to express support to Central Occupy.
