Student Petitioners Frequently Protest.
CCP Maintaining ‘Stability’ Lost Control

On July 19, Peoples Daily, the Chinese Communist Party
(CCP) mouthpiece published an article.
It claimed the fundamental purpose of maintaining social
stability is to safeguard the basic interests of the people.
During the national CCP stability maintenance conference,

petitioners born after 1990 marched in front of the entrance
of the Shanghai Municipal Government.
Their march was blocked and treated violently by the police.

Mainland Chinese human rights activists exposed that
the CCP always has two sets of discourse systems.
The CCP tries to maintain their dictatorship
in the name of the maintenance of stability.

On July 19, the CCP mouthpiece
People’s Daily published an article.
It said that a recently held national maintaining social
stability conference would focus on several ways
in strengthening prevention of so-called
‘deep-seated reasons of unstable factors’.
The article also claimed the fundamental purpose for
maintaining social stability is to safeguard peoples interest.

Human rights activist Hu Jia said the CCP
has two sets of discourse systems.
One is for face for international influence,
one for inside China for domestic use.

Hu Jia: “The purpose of maintaining social stability
is to maintain the CCP’s ruling position.
It is to maintain its (CCP) country, and its privileged
interests. This is the essence of maintaining social stability."

On July 18, at the entrance of Wuhan Municipal Committee,
thousands of people had assembled.
They displayed many banners, expressing their strong
dissatisfaction on the cheating, passing of responsibility
and suppression in the petition work in Wuhan.
It is said that there were many special police
and temporary redeployment police on site.
People who took photos were threatened
by plain-clothed policemen among them.

Human rights activist Hu Jun: “The petitioning made costs
for maintaining stability remain very high.
The grievance of petitioning is still rising.

All of this is caused by Zhou Yongkang,
and the Politics and Law Committee."

In Shanghai, every Wednesday, people spontaneously
gathered in front of city hall to protest.
On July 18, more than 2,000 gathered with collective
petitions in front of the city hall.

Shanghai petitioner Cai Wenjun: “Once the CCP
Central Committee held a meeting to maintain stability.
We will be the unlucky ones, as we do not
have real maintenance of stability.
In theory, you (CCP) have to solve people’s
problems in order to maintain stability.
People should have a place to appeal.
But it is not like that."

A remarkable part of the collective
petition was during the afternoon.
About 30 students born after 1990, commonly
called ‘after 90’s students’, held a banner.
It stated, “return my hard-earned money to me”,
and they marched from the Shanghai People’s Square.
However, before they arrived at city hall,
they were stopped by the police.
They were forcibly pulled to the police car,
and some policemen beat them.

Hu Jun: “The young generation is rising.

They have the internet, and have curiosity
towards new things, and towards the outside world.
They have learned more about the outside world,
and have also learned about unjust things.
Then CCP’s party culture has lost
its control over the young generation."

In the protest involving 10,000 people in Shifang, Sichuan,
‘after 90’s students’ formed the main body of the uprising.
For many years, the CCP has focused
a lot on those born after 1990.
It has tried to educate and instill
these young people with party culture.
But the harsh reality has made the young people
understand clearly about the CCP’s evil nature.
