Lee Will Run For Mayor?

San Francisco’s first Chinese-American acting mayor,
Edwin Lee, has announced that he would run for mayor.
Not long before, five mayoral candidates jointly called
for an investigation of Lee’s election campaign organization.
There is evidence the organization is raising illegal funds.

Sources point out the organization’s fund-raising person
and promoter, Rose Pak is a close friend of former leader
of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Jiang Zemin.

She is the consultant of the Chinese General Chamber
of Commerce (CGCC) in San Francisco.

On August 8, Lee submitted electoral documents,
announcing his intention to run for San Francisco’s mayor.

In January 2011, former San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom
was promoted to California Lieutenant Governor.
After promising not to run for next election and three rounds
of voting, Lee became the acting mayor of San Francisco.
Being in office for more than six months as acting mayor,
now he showed interest to run for the next elected mayor.

Hong Kong’s Oriental Daily reported that Lee’s actions made
some voters unhappy, accusing him of eating his own words.

Faced with local media’s questions, Lee explained that his
work results were all positive, so he simply changed his mind.

Former counselor Tony Hall pointed out that Lee’s old friend
Rose Pak has her own corrupt gang in the local government.
In the past 20 years, the gang has been undermining
San Francisco’s real democracy.
In order to eliminate other mayor candidates,
they support Lee at all costs, as Lee is “easy to manipulate.”

Lan Shu (current issues commentator): “The CCP has been
operating in San Francisco for a long time.
Over the past 10 years, CCP has used a variety of ways
to infiltrate the Chinese community here."

According to sources, CCP had set up many “student unions,
Chambers of Commerce, Friendship Unions, etc” in the U.S.
They use them to infiltrate US political circles, or espionage.

As a CCP representative, Rose Pak intervenes in local politics
and has been subjected to FBI investigation.

Over the years, at the behest of the CCP, CGCC has refused
Falun Gong groups to participate in their New Year parade.

Lan Shu: “CGCC refused a group from taking part
in the parade, only because their faith is different.
You push them aside because they are under CCP persecution.
Your behavior turned the Chinese New Year parade political."

In February 2002, Liu Qi, former mayor of Beijing,
and Xia Deren, vice governor of Liaoning Province,
were sued by Falun Gong practitioners in San Francisco
for torture and crimes against humanity.
As per court records, Rose Pak wrote a letter on behalf
of CGCC to the judge, trying to prevent a guilty verdict.

On July 29, the article “Edwin Lee’s honeymoon is over,"
in the San Francisco Chronicle, said five mayor candidates,
including local Democratic Party chairman Aaron Peskin,
called for an investigation
on the Rose Pak-controlled campaign organization “Progress
for All", and the “Elect him! Edwin Lee" movement.
They suspect them of illegal fundraising.

The article wrote that Lee’s supporters and connections,
especially Rose Pak, face an increasingly serious situation.

In early 2011, The New York Times reported that Rose Pak
made Lee acting mayor through political manipulations.
