為期四天的中共十八屆四中全會，20號上午在北京召開，大陸各地訪民齊聚北京。據大陸維權網站《六四天網》報導，中共國家信訪局、人大、中紀委信訪接待室附近聚集了上萬訪民，截訪人員也達到兩千多名。而在離中共當局開會近的地方，如中南海、天安門，因為安檢嚴厲，所以人員稀少。
常州業主維權被毆打
19號，江蘇省常州市銀河灣第一城幾百名業主維權。開發商動用了當地政府力量，大批警察趕往現場，多名業主被毆打，還有好幾人被抓捕。據了解，銀河灣第一城是由華光地產開發的，開發商不能按時交房，工地也已經停工一年，業主們之前多次前往常州市政府等地維權，但是一直沒有結果。
吉林法輪功學員 遭迫害離世
美國《明慧網》20號報導，吉林省吉林市法輪功學員劉玉賢，在中共人員、警察的持續威脅、恐嚇下，身體情況惡化，今年9月20號離世，年僅56歲。
據了解，劉玉賢自從1998年開始修煉法輪大法後，多種疾病痊癒，身心健康。因此在中共開始迫害法輪功後，先後四次到北京為法輪功討公道，多次被綁架、關押，還被非法勞教2年。今年4月，劉玉賢在向民眾講清法輪功真相時被抓，之後還被抄家、被非法關押，釋放後，社區主任等人多次到她家恐嚇、威脅，導致劉玉賢身體情況惡化去世。
蚌埠中院侵犯當事人辯護權
安徽異見人士張林的代理律師王宇，20號在前往看守所會見張林時，發現蚌埠中院在沒有通知張林本人、家屬和律師的情況下，就對張林二審宣判。王宇律師指出，蚌埠中院沒有聽取辯護人的意見，就倉促結案，嚴重違反法律程序，而且侵犯當事人的辯護權，將對相關違法人員提起控告。

Chinese Communist Party Fourth Plenary Session Opens.
The four-day 18th Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Fourth
Plenary Session opened in Beijing on the morning of Oct. 20.
Petitioners across the country gathered in Beijing.
According to mainland activist website “64TianWang",
thousands of petitioners gathered around the CCP State
Letters and Complaints Bureau, the National people’s
Congress, and the Central Commission for Discipline.
There were also more than two thousand staff who tried
to stop the petitioners.
Where the CCP had the meetings, such as Zhongnanhai and
Tiananmen Square, there was strict security control.
So few people were able to gather there.
Changzhou Property Owners Beaten When Defending
Their Rights.
On Oct. 19, several hundred property owners defended
their rights in Silver River First City in Changzhou, Jiangsu.
The developer used local government forces so many police
rushed to the scene.
Owners were beaten, and several were arrested.
It is understood that the Silver River First City was
developed by Huaguang Real Estate.
The developer cannot submit the houses on time, so
the site has been shut down for a year.
The owners went to defend their rights many times
in Changzhou municipal government and other places.
But they could get no result.
Jilin Falun Gong Practitioner Persecuted To Death.
Minghui website on Oct. 10 reported that Jilin Falun Gong
practitioner Liu Yuxian, was in a bad physical state under the
Chinese Communist Party (CCP) staff and continuous threats
and intimidation form police.
Her physical condition deteriorated and she passed away on
Sep. 20 this year, at only 56 years old.
It is understood that Liu Yuxian began to practice Falun Gong
since 1998, and a variety of diseases of hers were cured.
She became heathy, both physically and mentally.
After the CCP started the persecution of Falun Gong, she
went to Beijing four times to seek justice for Falun Gong.
She was kidnapped, imprisoned, and also sentenced to
forced labor for two years.
In April, Liu Yuxian was arrested when she was clarifying
the truth of Falun Gong to the public.
Later her home was raided and she was illegally detained.
After she was released, the community director and others
many times went to her home to threaten and intimidate her.
This resulted in Liu’s physical condition deteriorating
and her death.
Bengbu Intermediate People’s Court Violated
Right to Defense.
Anhui dissident Zhang Lin’s lawyer Wang Yu, went to visit
Zhang at the detention center.
During the visit he found out that Bengbu Intermediate
People’s Court sentenced Zhang without notifying Zhang.
His family and lawyer were not told either.
Wang Yu pointed out that the court did not listen to the
opinions of the counsel and hastily closed the case.
This has seriously violated the legal procedures,
and the right to defense of the parties.
He will take judicial proceedings against the relevant
staff.
