安徽省維權人士張林12月18號在蚌埠出庭受審,他因為10歲女兒遭到警察非法拘押進行街頭抗議,被控涉嫌「聚眾擾亂公共場所秩序」。

庭審當天法庭外戒備森嚴,如臨大敵,主要道路被封鎖,辯護律師進入法庭時受到到嚴格檢查,希望旁聽的美、加、德三國外交官也被法院拒之門外,而趕往蚌埠想要出庭作證的網友,也紛紛被警方抓捕。

庭審北京時間早8點30分開始,下午3點結束,法庭宣佈擇日宣判。

今年年初,張林十歲的女兒張安妮從合肥琥珀小學放學後,被四名男子帶到琥珀山莊派出所,單獨關在屋裡3個多小時,沒人關照,也沒人給她飯吃。

張林隨後在網上公開了張安妮遭警方和國保綁架及關押的經過,並在街頭和政府大門前舉牌抗議。他的遭遇和抗議得到中國網友的支持,一些人到場聲援。

中國黑客襲美聯邦選舉委員會網站

美國非黨派、非盈利新聞調查機構「公共誠信中心」,12月17號發佈的一份報告說,在10月美國政府部分關閉期間,聯邦選舉委員會的網站遭到中國黑客攻擊。

這個網站有關於聯邦競選經費的信息,包括各黨和各參選人得到的捐款數目,參選人、政黨以及獨立組織在競選期間的各項開支等。

「公共誠信中心」說,這次攻擊事件得到三個政府機構官員的證實,其中包括國土安全部。

五百警強拆紅軍大院 遭汽油彈還擊

12月18號,四川南充市順慶區政府出動武警、公安、交警、消防、城管,以及地痞流氓約五百人,開著三輛挖掘車,前往東風巷的紅軍家屬院 (南充軍分區干休所)進行強拆,遭到拆遷戶抵制。

雙方長時間對峙後,警方試圖突襲,但遭到拆遷戶投擲自製汽油彈還擊,一輛挖掘機被擊中燒燬。

雙方衝突過程中,5名拆遷戶家屬被打傷。

當地派出所警察告訴《新唐人》記者,事後,軍隊、地方和警方官員,都前往現場處理,目前,事件仍在進行中。

Foreign diplomats denied access to Zhang Lin’s case hearing

Anhui activist Zhang Lin’s case hearing took place
on Dec. 18 in Bengbu court.
He was accused of “gathering a crowd to disturb public
order" because he protested the illegal detention of his
10-year-old daughter by the police.

On the hearing day, the exterior of the court was heavily
guarded and the main road was blocked.
The defense lawyers were subject to strict security checks
when entering the courtroom.
American, Canadian, and German diplomats
were denied access.
Witnesses who intended to testify were arrested by police.

The trial began at 8:30 a.m. Beijing time and ended at 3 p.m.
The court announced the verdict will be issued
on a later day.

Earlier this year, Zhang Lin’s 9-year-old daughter,
Annie Zhang was taken to the local police station after school.
She was left in a room all alone for three hours with no care
and no food.

Zhang Lin revealed on the Internet how the police and state
security had kidnapped and imprisoned Annie, and he
protested in the streets and in front
of the government building.
He received much support from Chinese netizens.
Some of them also joined his protest.

U.S. Federal Election Commission was attacked by
Chinese hackers during government shutdown

The Center for Public Integrity is a nonpartisan, nonprofit
investigative news organization in the U.S.
In its Dec. 17 report, it stated that the Federal Election
Commission (FEC) in the United States was attacked
by Chinese hackers immediately after the government
shutdown began on Oct.

The FEC networks harbor information regarding finances
that were raised and spent by candidates, parties
and political action committees each election cycle.

According to the Center, “This hacking ordeal (was)
confirmed by three government officials involved
in an ongoing investigation that included the Department
of Homeland Security…"

Five hundred police involved in forced demolitions
meet with firebombs

On Dec. 18, authorities of Nanchong City, Sichuan,
dispatched a forced demolition team of 500 people consisting
of armed police, public security officers, police,
the fire department, urban management, thugs,
and three bulldozers to the local army and cadre retirees
residential area.
Consequently, they met with resistance.

After a long confrontation between the two sides, the police
attempted a raid, but were hit by petrol bombs.
An excavator that was hit burned.

Five families were wounded during the clash.

Local police told an NTD reporter that the local army,
officials and the police have headed to the scene.
The conflict is ongoing.
