CCP Members Called On to Remove Mao’s Picture

Recently 6 elderly Chinese citizens, all of around 80 years of age,
made a proposal to local authorities
to exchange Mao Zedong’s picture from Tiannamen Square with
the portrait of Sun Yat-sen.
In support of the proposal, another group of CCP
(Chinese Communist Party) senior cadres in Zhaotong city,
spoke out in support.

The seven CCP members, all from Zhaotang,
province of Yunnan, were retired heads of CCP.
Some were assigned to the departments of
County CCP Secretary, Secretary of Committee for
Discipline Inspection and County Mayor.
They all experienced the dark destruction during Mao’s reign.

In an open letter they stated, “ During the 27 years after
the founding of CCP state,
Mao Zedong completely went against the historical trend,
promoting his own ultra- leftist ideology.
In his movement of Rectification of the Anti-Rightist Struggle,
3,178,400 intellectuals were labeled as anti rightists.

Many suffered unbearable tortures in prison, many of whom died.
Mao created a 3 year food shortage,
causing 31,558,000 urban and rural civilian deaths.
Through initiating the Cultural Revolution,
Mao caused 20 million citizen deaths,
including President Liu Shaoqi and many more CCP leaders…”

Wu Zhibo (Joint holder of the opening letter):
“During the initial 30 years since 1949,
Mao Zedong acted in an arbitrary manner.
In pursuit of his own personal reputation and status
Mao did nothing of good nor value for the people of China,
instead he did many bad things “.

Li Deqiang ( also joint holder of opening letter):
“Mao’s moral base to mankind is pitiful.
60 million good Chinese citizens have died because of him.
Having Mao’s portrait is an insult to our people.
He does not qualify as a great leader”.

This year marks the 1911 Chinese Revolution Centennial.
The Chinese authorities celebrated by placing a portrait of
Sun Yat-sen in Tiannamun Square.
This unexpectedly triggered a wave of Sun Yat-sen,
with civilians gathering to have their photo taken with the portrait.
6 elderly Chinese citizens, all of around 80 years of age,
made a proposal to local authorities to
exchange Mao Zedong’s picture in Tiannamun Square with
the portrait of Sun Yat-sen.
Asking the authorities to respect the inner feelings of
the global Chinese community.

Former editor of Hebei People’s Radio Station,
Zhu Xinxin pointed out that at present,
Mao’s image has a twofold nature for the members of CCP.

Zhu Xinxin: ”If the CCP does not negate Mao Zedong,
it will have to carry the immense burden of history.

One which brought tremendous trauma
and loss to the Chinese people.
The authorities are at a loss for words when it comes
to explaining this history. On the other hand,
CCP members utilize Mao ’s image with legitimate belief.
They dare not completely negate him”.

Former basketball player of China’s National Team,
Chen Kai believes that although Mao’s illegality
has been exposed and realized by many,
it is highly unlikely top level leaders will act against Mao.

Chen Kai stated: ”All the Chinese officials came to power
indoctrinated with Mao’s theory,
that political power comes on the basis of killing.
This is the justification of the regime’s legality.

To date, most top level CCP members are murderers.
For example, Jiang Zemin’s unprecedented
persecution of Falun Gong and Hu jintao’s slaughter of
Tibetans in their home land.

Merciless killings of thousand’s of innocent people.
All of it attributed in the shadow of Mao Zedong’s concept,
that political power comes on the basis of killing”.

Scholars in mainland China pointed out that
the revolution led by Sun Yat-sen is completely different to
Mao’s Communist Revolution.

China’s wave of Sun Yat-sen indicates that
the people of China are at long last abandoning
the Communist ideal and totalitarian control.

It appears they are yearning for change through democracy.

CCP members were due to make an appearance,
yet when faced with such positive changes
within the minds of the people,
found themselves in less than an advantaged position.
