Extreme Means Used to Protect Xi During National Games

Communist China’s 12th National Games
are underway in the city of Shenyang.
The authorities have fallen into an extremely
nervous state, with armed police on every street.
All these measures are taken because Party
secretary-general Xi Jinping is attending
the opening ceremony of the event.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) claims to have
eliminated all possible “dangers” to the opening ceremony.
However, behind the imposed appearance of “peace,”
hundreds of ordinary Chinese people lost their freedom
and were forced apart from their families.

To ensure the safety of Xi Jinping during
the opening ceremony of the National Games,
security forces have been densely distributed
throughout the city of Shenyang.
In addition, many petitioners and Falun Gong practitioners
have been arrested.
It was reported that hundreds of petitioners from all over
China were detained by the local authority in recent days.
According to the Minghui website, in late August
at least 20 Shenyang Falun Gong practitioners were illegally
detained right before the National Games.

A national security officer said
during an interrogation that
even all retired police from Shenyang’s security
departments had been dispatched during the event.
Plainclothes police stood among the crowd on Xi
Jinping’s path, monitoring people’s conversations.
Those who made complaints would be immediately detained.

As a result, petitioners, victims of household demolition
and particularly Falun Gong practitioners were massively
abducted, detained or ejected.

At around 10pm on August 29th, Falun Gong practitioner
Yu Ming was going to bed after a busy day of helping
preparing the wedding ceremony of his nephew.
However, the Shenyang Division of National Security
forces and police from Beizhen, Jinzhou city,
drove to the house of Yu Ming’s sister.
A group of police in black rushed into the yard,
violently attacking Yu Ming’s brother-in-law, and
kidnapping Yu Ming, who was still in his underpants,
taking him to the Danan police station of Shenhe District.
There he was bonded to an iron torture chair and
interrogated for the whole night.
The police disclosed that they had to arrest Yu Ming
because Xi Jinping would visit an area close to
Yu Ming’s registered permanent address.

The next evening, Yu Ming escaped from handcuffs
and jumped out of the police car on the way to
the Shenyang Detention Center.
After that, police from the Danan police station
visited Yu Ming’s parents twice,
demanding to know his whereabouts.

Yu Ming’s mother: “When they arrested him
I wasn’t notified;
yet now they come to me for my son after he’s escaped.

I really don’t know where he is.
My husband is already over 80.
He was so anxious when the police visited that
he suddenly fainted in hypertension.
I brought him to the hospital, and they said he had to
be hospitalized with a blood pressure of 190/70.
Oh my, what to say about my feelings…
I am worrying about my son, and also frightened.
I am also worrying about my hospitalized husband.
I can’t even begin to describe how I feel.”

Yu Ming is a clothing business owner
at Wuai market in Shenyang.
Over the years, his clothing factory had hired
hundreds of laid-off workers for the society.
Since the start of the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong,

he has petitioned the government, telling the benefits that
practicing Falun Gong has brought his health and business.
Yet his peaceful appeals have only met with detentions and
tortures such as the ‘tiger bench,’ beatings, electric shocking,
and forced feeding.
He nearly died several times during his over-ten-year
experience of being persecuted.

Petitioners commonly said that their freedom was already
under suppression before the opening ceremony
of the National Games.
According to 64tianwang.com,
a Shandong petitioner Lin Xiuli found that
the train station was heavily monitored
when she reached Shenyang.
Lin revealed that, another the three petitioners,
Hao Shue, Dong Kuihong and Zhao Guangjun,
who arrived there earlier were taken away by the police
and their whereabouts remain unknown.
To her knowledge a total of 50 petitioners had been
forcibly expelled from Shenyang to their hometowns.

In a public letter to Xi Jinping, Yu Ming told a story
about an old woman of over 80-years-old in
the police station where he was detained.
She kept crying out in grief, as she was reported
by a retired plain-clothes police and kidnapped to Danan
police station afterwards, simply because
she was in the crowd and made a few complaints.
Yu Ming says he believes these tragedies should not
be what Xi Jinping meant to bring about by attending
the National Games in Shenyang.

The blue part in the emblem for the CCP’s 12th National
Games implies the meaning of “eternal peace of Liao River”.
However, disastrous floods had hit Liaoning in mid-August.

The CCP authorities not only hid the real number of victims,
but further arrested Falun Gong practitioners who went
to aid disaster relief.
The police said they were told that, in the name of
the National Games, they must let off nobody,
even if thousands wrongly arrested.

Last November, Xi Jinping made a visit
to Zhengding County, Hebei Province.
Many Falun Gong practitioners were also illegally
arrested at that time,
which resulted in local residents taking action
to oppose the persecution.
