CCP Police Numbers Doubled To Besiege Wukan Village

The Chinese Communist Party’s(CCP)local officials
in Guangdong province, secretly sold villagers’ farmland,
Wukan villagers have held large-scale mass protests,
which have been ongoing for more than one week.
Due to the CCP’s captures and siege, villagers’ lives are
extremely difficult with food for only another seven days.
On December 18, CCP officials suddenly doubled police.
Everyone is concerned to see how matters will play out.

Wukan village, population 13,000, becomes the first village
in China completely outside the CCP’s control since 1949.
Hong Kong’s Ming Pao reported that the last CCP’s official
fled on December 4th, the police station empty by Dec.9th.

The signboard saying “CCP Wukan Village branch
committee” was removed and put away.
Wukan villagers spontaneously held democratic elections.
They established an interim representative council.

The council will manage affairs and keep order in the village
achieving full autonomy from the CCP.
Villagers helped each other and the village is well ordered.
However, the CCP retaliated by cutting off supplies of water
and electricity, and sent thousands of police to lay a siege.
Many villagers are wanted by the authorities.

One villager wept that his child was sick. They could not visit
the doctor for fear of being captured by the waiting police.
Villagers confirmed that on December 18, the police force
besieging Wukan village suddenly doubled in size.

Wukan villager: “From yesterday, today’s numbers doubled.
Looking at uniforms, it’s police, armed police and rangers."

Wukan villagers told NTDTV local authorities tried brainwash
tactics trying to trick those working away from Wukan village.
Students and villagers away from home were told to attend
meetings at city hall. However, all tricks were seen through.

Wukan villager: “My relative received one of these calls.
The city government office staff phoned his home.
He said he was the class adviser of my relative’s child,
and ask my relative to attend a meeting in the city hall.
However my relative felt very suspicious, so he didn’t go."

Earlier this month, dozens of plain-clothes police stormed
Wukan village, and captured the elected head Xue Jinbo.
Xue died soon after. His family found his corspe covered
in bruises and scars and suspected he was beaten to death.
To stop the police arresting them, villagers set up barriers
at intersections, and set up patrols day and night.

Due to the CCP’s siege, the village is suffering greatly,
with only enough food to last for another seven days.

Wukan villager: “Some villagers kept a little rice by for
emergencies. But most people only have instant noodles.
Some very poor families already have no food so villagers
spontaneously donated 50 cents, one yuan, two yuan,
In this way money was accumulated to buy food for them.”

On December 17th, Wukan villagers again rallied,
demanding CCP authorities return the body of Xue Jinbo.
The villagers named Xue “Wukan rights-defense hero”.

Villagers chanted slogans: “Innocent in death, Seek justice!"
“Corrupt officials return my farmland!"

Xue’s family refused to accept the official offers, insisting on
a ground burial of Xue, and demanding truth for Xue’s death.

Commentator Cao Changqing analyzes that the CCP will
use various means to suppress the Wukan people.
Wukan village’s autonomy faces slim chances of survival,
However, their autonomy has sent a very positive signal.

Cao Changqing: " The elections and freedom from the CCP
have come true in Wukan village.
This is telling other Chinese people, even the whole world
that the Chinese people can also hold elections.
Elections can be realized in the U.S., in India with1 billion,
people and Taiwan which has the same Chinese culture.
Today, if peasants like Wukan villagers can hold elections,
Its even more possible for urban citizens in big cities.
So I think this is a very strong signal. Chinese people
can carry out elections and can live autonomously. “

Cao Changqing states this event is very typical.
The CCP’s brutal regime is unprecedentedly confronted
with Chinese people’s resistance.
