Chinese Communist Party (CCP) New Trick
for Stability Preservation

China’s official media have published a series of
features on the new leaders of the CCP.
The media alleged that “the leaders are taking the lead to
increase China’s political transparency.”

CCP mouthpiece Xinhua News Agency consecutively
published feature articles on the new leadership team.
The CCP figures covered include Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang,
Zhang Dejiang, and Yu Zhengsheng.
The articles were attached to a group of their photos
taken in their daily life and at work.
The media claimed to continue release of such articles
and photos of the new CCP leadership team.

Later on, the Global Times under the People’s Daily said
that China has been mired in problems.
The article said that after the18th Party Congress,
CCP officials’ working style may bring a breakthrough.
This will either create a new path to solve the problems or not.

The Global Times alleged that this is the CCP top-level leaders
taking the lead in highlighting the feature of new governance.
Also, it has significant meaning in increasing China’s
political transparency.

Critic Xing Tianxing says these long-existed problems cannot
be solved just by unveiling officials’ images and transparency.

Xing Tianxing: “Over many years, the public have appealed
for CCP officials to declare personal assets.
But it has never come true in reality. Can China’s problems
be solved by those"official poses"in public and transparency?"

En Guang, pro-democracy activist in China, remarks that
CCP official media’s assertion is just a propaganda tactic.
This is one which has been used for many years.

En Guang: “I feel it’s still deceptive; just a propaganda tactic.

It’s used to bolster the public confidence in the regime,
that is, to preserve stability.
It’s an illusion, letting the masses pin their hopes on the CCP
being willing to change. But the CCP will never make it reality."

After its 18th Congress, the CCP Politburo admitted escalation
of corruption, which will finally trigger the Party’s collapse.
On Dec.4th a meeting marked the 30th anniversary of
the Constitution’s promulgation and implementation.
At the meeting, Xi Jinping said that “all acts in violation of the
Constitution and laws shall be criminally investigated.”

On the internet, Chinese citizens have recently informed
against lots of CCP officials’ corruption and sex scandals.
However, on Dec. 18th CCP official media, the People Daily
published an article on the front page;
Called “The Internet is Not Outside the Law", it prompted
Xinhua News Agency to also said in an article that
anti-corruption informants “revealing" information
should be regulated.

En Guang indicates a true solution to China’s existing
plight and social conflicts.
First of all, the regime should lift bans on political party
activities and on the press.
It should make judiciary independent. En Guang thinks
the CCP is now just making a political propaganda.

En Guang: “Without putting these real changes into practice,
it only touts of making reforms to showcase its openness.
But how can that be open-minded without real actions?"

China’s Yicai Daily commented that releasing feature articles
and photos of top leaders aims to get close to the general pubic
due to a sense of alienation that has widened the gap
between CCP officials and the masses.

Xing Tianxing: “This commentary shows that
the CCP has been driven into an impasse.
It has never done what the public have really wanted,

but acted as movie stars, exposing private lifestyles
to make them seem like one of the people."

Xing Tianxing adds that across today’s China,
petitioners have been detained or released from custody.
Xing Tianxing remarks that their grievances have
never been addressed.
And the CCP tries everything to find a stunt to divert public
attention from the existing social grievance issues in China,
