“Red Star Shields My Son in Battle!”
主播:
The 15-year old son of famous singer Li Shuangjiang,
was driving an unlicensed BMW,
and along with another rich young man in an Audi,
violently assaulted a couple in Haidian district, Beijing.
They threatened nearby witnesses by yelling,
“(We) will go after who even calls the police.”
The wound on one of the victim’s head required 11 stitches.
This incident caused outrage among the general public.
Scholars pointed out that such madness signifies the near end
of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) totalitarian system.
配音:

During the evening of September 6, business owner Mr. Peng
was driving a Buick sedan with his family in the car.
While turning into the south entrance of the community
building, Mr. Peng suddenly hit the brakes of his car.
This angered the BMW and Audi drivers behind his car.
The two young men got out of their cars
and started to violently assault Mr. and Mrs. Peng until
their heads and faces were in blood and they lost conscience.
Mr. Peng’s five-year-old son cried and pleaded for them
to stop, but the two young men kept on beating the couple.
After a long period of persuasion from bystanders,
the two young men stopped,
but threatened the bystanders by saying,
“Who dares to call 110 (police)?”
Afterward, the two tried to escape in their cars, but they were
surrounded by hundreds of bystanders, then taken by police.

It has been verified that the driver of the BMW
is the 15-year-old son of famous singer Li Shuangjiang.
He doesn’t have a driver’s license. The BMW has been
customized with RMB280,000 (US$43,000) worth of parts
and has a passing permit to the Great Hall of the People.
An assault rifle was found under the back seat,
which the police claim to be a high quality imitation gun.

On the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau website,
netizens found that the Audi has over 36 unprocessed tickets
from the past three years; the car owner is the Director
of Shanxi National Revenue Bureau (SNRB) Xu Yuegang.
SNRB released a statement claiming that this license plate
was used by the SNRB before August 2004,
but was given back to the Shanxi Police Department.
Singer Li Shuangjiang went to the hospital on September 8,
to apologize to the victims. Mr. Peng had nine stitches
on his forehead and two stitches on the back of his head;
his wife also had three stitches on her head.
Renmin website reported on September 8, that Li’s son
was released and the police have closed the case.
Yet, Beijing TV station reported, that Haidian police said,
offenders with the last names of Su and Li have been detained.

Jiang Tianyong (Beijing Human Rights Lawyer): “There
were many violations that require detailed investigation.
However, the problem is that the media doesn’t have freedom
and the power of the officials cannot be restrained,
so it is very difficult to resolve this case justly.
Even if the case was justly resolved, the officials have already
lost public trust, so people will not believe them.”
Author Shi Qian wrote on his microblog:
“The youngest Olympics Ambassador at age 5,
now charged with physical assault at age 15.
Li Tianyi is the treasured son of Li Shuangjiang.
When the family went to see the victims,
they asked the victims to give their son another chance.
Why do you always get another chance?
Just because your father is Li Shuangjiang?”
Liu Yiming (Former reporter, Chinese Private Sector):
“This phenomenon is very common in China.
Second generation of officials, rich and famous,
are all arrogant, completely ignorant of other people’s lives.
This is because there is no equality before the law in China.
When sons and daughters of officials or rich commit a crime,
they can be released using money and connections.
Money can buy lives, and power can buy lives too now.”
Li Shuangjiang sings pro-communist songs, such as
“The Red Star guides me to battle.”
He is ranked as a first class artist in China, PhD Advisor,
and is currently Director of Music
at the Art Institute of People’s Liberation Army.
He has military rank of Major General.
The Renmin website mockingly wrote: ‘Red star guides me
to battle’ turned into ‘Red star shields my son in battle!’
Huang Liangtian (Former Editor-in-chief, Common People):
“This was caused by the system.
In Beijing, cars with military licenses can do whatever
they want; officials’ cars can also do whatever they want.
If it was the son of a powerful general,
I don’t think the media would dare to even report it.
You never see news about the son of a province’ governor,
do we ever report it? Never.”
Regarding Li Shuangjiang’s son, most mainland media
including Xinhua reported the story.
It also drew heated discussions online.
Caixun website published a commentary,
saying, “‘Father sings red songs on stage, son acts violently
offstage’ urges for new focus on ethics education.”
Jiao Guobiao (Ex-associate professor at Beijing University):
“This is like a state of madness before the final countdown.
Because it (CCP) has the ruling power, it controls the court,
it doesn’t have a sense of morality, or moral values’ base line.
It is in a state of psychological and moral collapse.”
A commentary from the Guangming website pointed out,
that the actions of Li Shuangjiang’s son show to people
the “hypocritical, terrible and savage nature”
of those who praise the CCP.
It went on to claim that it is their nature to be an enemy
to the general public, and an enemy to society.
The comments supported this view, saying that in history
there has never been such a privileged class,
so prosperous, cruel, powerful and controlling
of the entire society and all its resources.
People are being urged to speak out, as to prevent China
from getting ruined even more, as the days pass by.
