Facebook

Hong Kong Occupy Central Movement, Develops Vigorously

While Beijing Authorities Arrest more People

Hong Kong Occupy Central Event has lasted 16 days,

but young students still adhere to the admiralty and other positions.

In Mainland China, some righteous activists continually

stand up for supporting the action of Occupy Central.

Chinese authorities launched in to arresting people

on a wider area,

including some scholars who hold moderate opinions but have

been arrested in the name of so-called “provoking trouble".

According to the latest news, many famous activists

have been arrested by the authorities with the crime

of “provoking troubles".

Included in it are Beijing non-governmental organization

“Transition Institute" founder Mr Guo Yushan,

who has a masters degree of political science

from Peking University.

Another executive director of “"Transition Institute"

Huang Kaiping;

non-governmental organization “Liren College" President

Chen Kun;

and non-governmental charity activist Kou Yanding,

who is an advocate of democratic thought

and an independent file producer.

It is believed this group of people are a mere form of

moderate reformist scholars

illegally arrested after Beijing Songzhuang artists

were arrested

According to “Radio Free Asia", the source said,

that during the event of Hong Kong Occupy Central,

the arrested intellectuals in Mainland China

have outnumbered that of the “Jasmine Revolution" period.

According to Hong Kong Apple Daily´s incomplete statistics,

the number of arrests so far may have been

more than one hundred people.

Faced with the questioning and criticism from outside sources,

the CCP Propaganda Department declared that they do not

understand the situation,

and said that the judiciary will deal with this event

according to the law.

Meanwhile, the CCP not only blocked the domestic news

of Hong Kong people fighting for universal suffrage

during the peaceful Occupy Central,

but also slandered and accused Hong Kong people

for undertaking an illegal parade.

Bao Tong is former secretary to Zhao Ziyang.

Bao challenged the opinion and remonstrated,

that Hong Kong people peacefully demonstrated an appeal

in Hong Kong,

yet their very own government reacted with violence and bullying.

So what are CCP authorities saying about the rule of law?

Zhao Ziyang’s secretary Bao Tong: “The rule of law is still

to protect the rights of the people, to enjoy their own rights.

The Central Government promised: one country,

witha two regime operation,

Allowing Hong Kong people to govern Hong Kong.

So let me ask this question to a Hong Kong resident,

if reserved candidates cannot be nominated,

does it mean Hong Kong people can govern themselves?

Is this in line with Hong Kong people? It seems phony”

Bao Tong believes, whether Hong Kong people can access

civil rights,

closely correlates with the people in the mainland,

including the right to being voted during the past sixty years.

Zhao’s secretary Bao Tong: “When Hong Kong people

required a universal suffrage,

this is actually the hope of mainland Chinese. Mainland China

has been referred to as the People’s Republic for sixty years.

Did the People’s Republic have a real decent election?

No, not once, this lets down the title

of the People’s Republic of China."

In order to avoid the spread of a peaceful Hong Kong Occupy

Central in to other regions of mainland China,

the CCP have taken all measures, but have also strengthened

their control over the intellectuals in mainland.

Constitutional scholar Chen Yong Miao:

“They asked me to write a guarantee,

I am not allowed to accept the interview nor talk to anyone.

(Reporter; Why not?) replies: Beijing police say so."

Freelance writer He Jiaxiong from the mainland, also received

the threats and warning from local authorities:

he is not allowed to publish news about Occupy Central

in the media.

He Jiawei: “Currently, Beijing authorities have captured fifty people,

and in my city 2 activists have been arrested.

The number of arrested people is still ever growing,

and more will be arrested.

They even caught Mr Guo Yu Shan and he has always been

a very mild scholar.

All of us have faced very large amounts of pressure.

If any one of us makes a careless act, we may lose our freedom."

It is understood, on the night of Oct 1, Art Editor of

Peking University Shi Lin was arrested;

in the evening of Oct 6, authorities captured Chen Kun,

the President of Liren College;

in the morning of Oct 9, renowned scholar Guo Yushan was arrested,

and hurriedly authorities sentenced him with penal detention;

on Oct 11, Songzhuang artist Zhang Haiying, writer Kwong Laowu,

and charity activist Xue Ye were all arrested,

also writer and independent documentary producer

Kou Yanding was also captured on his way to Mount Wutai.

But the Executive Director Huang Kaiping of Transition Institute

was arrested without clear time.

Zhao Ziyang´s secretary Bao Tong: “As a citizen of the republic,

safeguarding the right of citizens to vote,

and maintaining the rights of citizens being proposed

as nominated in the election, actually seems to be illegal.

So what country is this country?

Can this country still be called The Republic ?

Is there a democratic system in this country?"

According to “Apple Daily´s" recent report, in Beijing

Songzhuang artist Kwong Laowu was arrested

at home and taken away by the police.

When he was taken away by police, the visiting writer

Ouyang Xiaorong, stayed there too and

was also taken away by the authorities.

She was finally released after five hours of detention.

Ouyang Xiaorong said police interrogations are centered

around the Occupy Central event,

this shows Beijing appears to be very nervous

about Occupy Central.

For those daring to publicly support the Occupy Central,

once one guy is found, then this one will be arrested.

According to reports, most of these arrests occurred

in the middle of the night,

which has all the signs of secret arrests.
