Chinese Authorities Keen to Rid Bo Scandal From Media

Three days after the trial of Bo Xilai, discussions
are still continuing among the Chinese public.
This could be considered to go against the wishes
of the Chinese Communist Party(CCP) authorities.
The CCP has hastened to get rid of the potential
negative political impact brought by Bo’s scandals.

Radio France Internationale (RFI) reported on
an internal order that was issued by the State
Council Informatisation Office (SCITO).
The order bans China’s media from
commenting on Bo’s trial on the internet.
The media shall wait for further instructions.

It says, “Overall, the issue will
subside after two or three days."

RFI states that SCITO allows internet commentators
to expose the logical errors in Bo’s statements.
It requests timely reproduction of articles which
are published on the CCP state media outlets.
The SCITO also requires reinforcing the
censorship on online comments on Bo’s trial.

RFI indicates that Bo’s trial was broadcast via micro-blogs,
but the media control still exists outside the courtroom.

Many media professionals who voluntarily went to
Jinan to take interviews, were given a body search.
The police even tracked them to
hotels to get their identification.
Afterwards, these reporters were informed by their employers.

They were requested to withdraw immediately and
accused of violation of the central CCP media ban.

Trial of Gang Rape Son of Red-Song Army General

Li Tianyi, the son of Red-Song army General Li Shuangjiang,
was recently alleged to have been involved in a gang rape.
A closed-door trial was held on August 28.

Li Tianyi’s mother, Meng Ge, appeared in
court, whilst Li Shuangjiang didn’t show up.

Beijing Evening News reported the news on a micro-blog.

Li Tianyi has denied having sex with the
victim, nor did he physically assault her.
Yet, another defendant, surname Wei,
admitted that Li slapped the victim.
This confession outraged Meng Ge,
who argued with Wei’s lawyer in court.

The victim was not present at the trial.
Reportedly, the trial will continue on August 29.

The news on Meng Ge’s anger in court has
incurred wide criticism from Chinese netizens.
They commented that the Li family is continuing
to humiliate people’s wisdom, and despise the court.
A netizen asks, “Meng Ge wasn’t on the site
at that time, how could she know the truth?
How could she have the right to quarrel in court?"

Six-Year-Old Chinese Boy’s Eyes Gouged Out in Attack

Shortages of organs has encouraged
rampant smuggling of human organs.
