【新唐人2011年10月11日讯】辛亥百年之际，澳洲齐氏文化基金会将“推动中国进步奖”颁发给中国维权人士王荔蕻和独立制片人王利波。王荔蕻目前人还在狱中，她的儿子齐健翔表示，为母亲感到骄傲和欣慰。
澳州齐氏文化基金会在10月10号发布公告，宣布将第4届“推动中国进步奖”颁发给中国独立制片人王利波和王荔蕻。
王利波拍摄的记录片《掩埋》，披露了1976年“唐山大地震”之前有关地震预报被隐瞒的真相。维权人士王荔蕻是记录片《赫索格的日子》的“灵魂导演”，这部片子记录了去年（2010年）最重要的一场公民运动——“福建三网民案”围观声援活动。
因为王荔蕻目前还处于监禁之中，她的儿子齐健翔代表王荔蕻发表了获奖感言。
在接受《新唐人》采访时，齐健翔表示，为自己的母亲获得这一奖项而感到骄傲。
王荔蕻之子齐健翔：“我觉得替她感到欣慰吧！这个奖不是给我妈一个人的，是给中国千千万万的，顶着巨大的政治压力，从事维权、从事民主、从事争取自由的这些工作的，千千万万这些人的一个鼓励，实际上这个奖是给大家的。”
两位获奖者由中国知名的记录片导演艾晓明、胡杰和北京电影学院教授崔卫平共同推荐。他们在推荐词中，称赞王利波拍摄的记录片《掩埋》揭示出，唐山大地震震前预报的真相被有意隐瞒，正是当代中国很多浩劫的缩影。
2008年2月，福州市闽清县女青年严晓玲突然死亡。警方宣布是正常死亡，但死者母亲林秀英认为死者是被轮奸致死。 2009年，范燕琼等3人将严晓玲死亡的情况，整理成文字、拍成视频，发到网上，引起各方广泛关注。随后3人被警方以涉嫌“诽谤罪”抓捕并判刑。
为抗议这种“因言获罪”，王荔蕻发起了围观声援“福建三网民案”的活动，她还和很多民众与警方对拍，并邀请何杨对视频做了进一步采访和剪辑，最终完成了《赫索格的日子》这部记录片。王荔蕻也因此被认为，是这部作品的灵魂导演。
今年（2011年）3月份，当局号称王荔蕻在法院外扰乱秩序，以“寻衅滋事”为名刑事拘留。 9月份，北京朝阳区法院判处王荔蕻有期徒刑9个月。
北京博圣律师事务所韩一村律师：“她动员组织了一批人，走上街头，对司法机关的不公表示抗议。作为当局来讲，它最怕的就是民众走上街头，它担心民众走向街头，对它们是一个威胁，所以它们（中共）对走上街头表示抗议的行为，采取高压的打压态势。”
多年来，王荔蕻一直在中国各地的维权活动中表现活跃，曾经参加过“邓玉娇事件”和“三聚氰胺毒奶事件”的维权活动。作家野渡认为，王荔蕻是今年（2011年）中国最引人注目的维权人士之一。
作家野渡：“王荔蕻获得这个奖，可以说是众望所归，也是对她这么多年来，推动中国国内的公民运动的一个褒奖。虽然说，她现在已经失去自由，但是，我们可以做其他一些事情，让更多的、像王荔蕻这样的人勇敢前行。”
澳洲“齐氏文化基金”会缘起于中国早期留美学者齐尊周，他曾经被中共投入牢狱长达23年，后辗转出国。 98年，齐尊周逝世后，他的儿女根据他的遗志，设立了“齐氏文化基金会”，表彰那些用文字和影像记录，推动中国进步的人。
齐氏文化基金会的公告提到，已经将奖金和证书转给王荔蕻和王利波两位获奖者，这两部记录片《掩埋》和《赫索格的日子》，将会在澳洲放映。

Wang Lihong Awarded for Promoting Progress In China

At the time of the 1911 Chinese Revolution Centennial,
Australia Qi’s Cultural Foundation granted an
Award to Wang Lihong,
a Chinese rights activist, for Promoting Progress in China
and Wang Libo, an independent
film producer. Wang was sentenced to jail by
the authorities of CCP (Chinese Communist Party),
her son Qi Jianxiang said that he felt proud of his mother.

Australia Qi’s Cultural Foundation announced on October 10
that they were granting the Award for Promoting Progress in China
to Chinese independent filmmaker Wang Libo and
human rights activist Wang Lihong
Wang Libo produced the documentary entitled Buried,
which discloses that in 1976, before the Tangshan earthquake
took place, the earthquake prediction was man-made
and concealed by the CCP authorities.
Wang Lihong, a rights activist, is the inspiration director of
the documentary titled Herzog’s Days. This film records
Fujian Three Netizens Case, China’s most important
civic movement in 2010.
Since Wang Lihong is still imprisoned in jail,
her son Qi Jianxiang, received the award and
gave a speech on behalf of his mother.
Qi Jianxiang told NTD that he felt very proud of his
mother for winning this award.
Qi Jianxiang (Son of Wang Lihong): “I am gratified for her.
I think this award is not granted to my mother alone, but to
thousands of activists who have been under immense
political pressure to safeguard rights, to strive for democracy
and freedom. This award is an encouragement,
so it is in fact granted to all of these activists.”
The two winners were jointly recommended by China’s
renowned documentary directors Ai Xiaoming, Hu Jie, plus
Cui Weiping, a professor at Beijing Film Academy.
In the recommendations, they praised the documentary film
Buried, produced by Wang Libo, for revealing the truth about
the 1976 Tangshan Earthquake. Before the earthquake
happened, the earthquake forecast had been intentionally
concealed by the CCP authorities, a microcosm of
many catastrophes that took place in contemporary China.
In February, 2008, Fuzhou citizen Yan Xiaoling, died
suddenly. The police announced that it was a normal death.
But her mother believes that Yan died from a gang-rape.
In 2009, netizen Fan Yanqiong and two other Fujian netizens
prepared related texts and videos and posted them online,
causing widespread concerns amongst the public. Afterwards,
three netizens were arrested by the police on suspicion of
libel and sentenced to jail.
In order to protest against such criminalization of speech,
Wang Lihong launched a campaign of participating as onlookers
and supporters of Fujian three netizens case.
When the police on site photographed Wang and
participants, they photographed the police, too.
He Yang, an independent film producer in Beijing
enriched the video with more interviews and editing.
He finished the documentary film, entitled Herzog’s Days.
Wang Lihong was therefore regarded as the soul of
directing this film.
This March, the CCP authorities claimed that Wang disturbed
public order outside the court and criminally detained
her on charges of creating disturbances.
In September, Wang was sentenced to jail for nine months by
Beijing Chaoyang District Court.
Han Yicun (Lawyer, Beijing Bosheng Law Firm):
“She mobilized and organized a group of people to fill the streets
to protest the injustice of the judiciary. As for the authorities,
what they fear most is street protests by the masses; that is
considered a threat to the authorities. So that’s why
the authorities imposed a heavy-handed crackdown
on street protests.”
Over the years, Wang Lihong has been an activists involving
many events to safeguard rights, including the Deng Yujiao event,
and the melamine-tainted milk incident. Ye Du, an independent
writer in Guangzhou, comments that Wang Lihong is one of
the most compelling rights activists this year in China.
Ye Du, (Independent writer, Guangzhou): ““Wang Lihong’s
getting this award is welcomed.
This is recognizing her contributions towards
promoting China’s civic movements for so many years.
Now she is deprived of freedom, but we can support more people like her to
move ahead bravely.”
Australia Qi’s Cultural Foundation was founded
by Qi Zunzhou, a Chinese scholars who studied in the U.S.
during the early years of 20th century.
He had been sentenced to jail by the CCP for up to 23 years,
and later went abroad.
In 1998, according to Qi’s unfulfilled wish, his children
set up the Qi’s Cultural Foundation to praise those who
promote China’s progress with texts and image records.
In its announcement, Qi’s Cultural Foundation stated that
prizes and certificates have been transferred to Wang Lihong
and Wang Libo. Two documentaries, Buried and
Herzog’s Days, will be screened in Australia.
