大量有毒食品、蔬菜，被大陆各地媒体不断揭露曝光，内情骇人听闻。中国有毒食物之多，令人目不暇给。中国民众戏言，不吃怕饿死，吃了怕毒死，最后只能等死。
可是，胃强哥哥不悲观。因为是“胃强哥”百毒能耐他何？“胃强哥”安排了自己和同行们的每日三餐。
“早餐喝什么？三鹿奶粉不错；再吃鸭蛋几个，苏丹红营养很多；超级迷恋大馒头，漂白粉有效果。 ”
据江苏、河南等地媒体报导，大陆多个省市近期惊传“避孕药青瓜”，过去被视为新鲜标记的“顶花青瓜”，实际是菜农为加快青瓜生长、使瓜更高更壮，种植时涂抹了激素并加入避孕药。专家指出，人体长期摄入，会影响生殖系统、诱发癌症，导致孩童性早熟。
青瓜被大陆百姓称为黄瓜。这类青瓜除顶端带有黄花，瓜身更布满接近刺状的小疙瘩，且瓜身较长、较粗。原因是含避孕药。正常植物都在花体脱落之后，果实才会成熟。
“避孕药青瓜”曝光后，消费者见花色变，凡顶端有花的青瓜都不敢买。目前，菜贩又忙于为青瓜摘掉黄花。专家提醒，凡瓜身带有刺状小瘤的，多数都含有激素，建议消费者不要购买。

珠海居民开始选择开荒种蔬菜，居民刘姨一边松土一边表示，市场卖的蔬菜都不敢买了，又是催长激素，又是农药，又是化肥，还有保鲜剂，这种蔬菜会损害人的健康。
“晚餐咱吃什么？口水油做火锅；在餐桌中战斗，胃强哥为你吆喝；离开垃圾食品后，我倍感很寂寞；你是胃的战斗，我含泪的述说；是屡次的作恶 ，我唱起无奈歌；在渴望的餐桌，有滴血的颜色。”
中国近年来恶性淋巴瘤的发病率逐年上升，每年至少超过2万5千例。有专家认为，这与当前食品中的添加剂有关。据统计，在中国，平均每人每天吃下的食品添加剂超过90种。
香港《东方日报》的“神州观察”评论说，食品安全是最基本的人权，也是政权合法性的基础，如果连这点都做不到，政府如何取信于民，继续执政呢？

of Mainland Chinese eating tainted foods daily.

Now farmers apply hormones and contraceptives
on it to make it grow bigger and stronger.
Experts said, in a long term this may affect humans’
reproductive system, causing cancer,
and leading to premature puberty in children.
The reported cucumber has a yellow flower at its top,
and thorn-like small lumps, looking longer & bigger.
This could be due to the contraceptive applied to it.
Normally, fruits mature after the flowers fall off.
The “contraceptive cucumber" scandal caused
serious concerns among consumers. As a response,
marketers are now busy removing the flowers
from cucumbers. Experts said that cucumbers
with thorn-like lumps may still contain the hormone.
Consumers are advised not to buy such cucumbers.

In recent years, China is seeing an increase
in the number of malignant lymphoma patients.
They increase by 25,000 cases each year.
Experts said that it was related to the food additives.
Study shows that in China on average a person eats
more than 90 kinds of additives daily.
Food safety is a basic human right, and a basis
for government’s legitimacy. If a government
cannot guarantee that, how could it get
the trust of its people and continue its ruling?
