【新唐人2013年05月22日訊】幼女開房案或涉高官 禁律師代言
最近，7名中國大陸律師，就海南萬寧校長帶6名幼女開房案件，前往海南進行公民法律監督，並控告萬寧警方涉嫌偽證和徇私枉法，要求異地偵辦。
5月20號，其中一名珠海律師接到珠海司法局指令，禁止他代理受害幼女。而受害幼女的家長，也沒有一個人敢與律師們接觸。
參與調查的廣州律師隋牧青在微博發帖，披露了珠海司法局禁令，並評論說，「強姦犯力量真大！天下官員是一家，動作真快，能量夠大。」引起網絡輿論嘩然，譴責司法局的聲浪四起。
珠海司法局的官方微博隨後發帖回應辯解說，「律師管理科室僅是向該律師了解有關情況並提醒，從未禁止律師依法依規代理案件。」但是再次招來網友炮轟，紛紛要求司法局公開所謂「提醒律師」的內容。
中國大陸的律師唐荊陵認為，涉案的校長和公職人員職位都不高，這兩個人的醜聞很難動用到專政機關，甚至動用到司法廳局來阻止律師介入，案件背後可能涉及比較高階層的官員，或者有其他黑幕。
美國務院：中國宗教自由每況愈下
美國國務院20號公布，2012年全球宗教自由報告，指出：中國、緬甸等8個國家，「嚴重違反」了人與生俱來擁有信仰自由的根本價值。
報告顯示，在中國，「當局對宗教自由的尊重每況愈下」。
肇慶村民堵路抗議 警察打人抓人
為抗議集體土地被官員非法侵佔，5月20號，廣東肇慶高要市蜆崗鎮蜆二村數百村民，拉起寫有：「反對侵佔集體土地 維護村民利益」的橫幅，堵塞高速路口，不讓車輛通過，導致大塞車，車龍長達一公里。
兩小時後，上百名手持盾牌和警棍的防暴警察來到現場，先是與村民對峙，隨後向村民進行突擊驅趕、追打，村民見狀紛紛四散，有走避不及或反抗的村民，則被警方帶走，多人被捕關押在市區。
數百村民到市政府門口抗議，要求釋放被捕人士，但是沒有結果。
目前，村民人心惶惶，擔心會遭到政府的報復。

Hainan Sexual Assault: Lawyer Banned From Defending
A Hainan Headteacher and a public official were exposed
for suspected sleeping with six underage girls.
Seven lawyers recently arrived at Hainan to oversee
the case handling.
They sued local police on suspicion of perjury and
favoritism, and requested off-site investigations.
On May 20th one of the seven lawyers received
an instruction from Zhuhai Judicial Administration.
This Zhuhai-based lawyer was banned from defending
the female victims.
The victims’ parents dare not make contact with the lawyers.
Sui Muqing, a participating lawyer, disclosed
the Zhuhai ban on his weibo.
Sui commented: “The rapists are really powerful! All
officials are like one family, acting quickly and powerfully.”
The post has aroused lots of online public reactions all
condemning the Zhuhai Judicial Administration.
Responding, the Zhuhai Justice team claimed in its official
Weibo that “The departments of legal administration asked
for related information from this lawyer and reminded him.
They have never banned lawyers from defending clients
in accordance with the law and regulations.”
The post then triggered more condemnation and requests for
making public the message of “reminding” the lawyer.
Chinese lawyer, Tang Jingling, has said that the implicated
principal and public official are both of low rank.
It’s unlikely that the authorities will pay much attention
to their case.
Even local Judicial Administration stepped in
to prevent the lawyer’s involvement.
Lawyer Tang speculated that senior officials may be involved
in the case, or there are other dark secrets.
US Report: China’s Religious Freedom On the Decline
On May 20th U.S. State Department issued the
International Religious Freedom Report 2012.
The annual report stated that eight countries including China
and Burma have “seriously violated” freedom of faith, the
fundamental value of human beings.
The report shows that in China, “the respect by the
authorities for religious freedom is on the decline.”
Mass Protest in Guangdong Against Illegal Land Acquisition
On May 20th in Zhaoqing city, Guangdong, hundreds of villagers
staged a protest against local officials’ illegal land acquisition.
The protestors held banners that read, “Oppose seizure of
collectively-owned lands, Safeguard the villagers’ interests.”
They blocked the highway intersections, causing a traffic jam
reaching back for one kilometer.
Two hours later, a hundred SWAT police
arrived at the scene.
After a confrontation, the police suddenly drove the
villagers away by chasing and beating.
The villagers then dispersed, some were taken away
by the police.
Several people are now detained in the urban areas.
Later in front of the city hall, several hundred villagers
demanded the release of the detainees.
Yet no official response was made.
By now, the villagers are worried about the reprisal attack
by the authorities.
