“Gadhafi Was Not a Friend of China,” Claims CCP Official

Western leaders are celebrating the death of
former Libyan dictator, Moammar Gadhafi.
The picture of Gadhafi』s exposed corpse
shocked the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leadership.
In an unusual move, China』s Foreign Ministry officials
publicly denied that Gadhafi was the CCP』s friend,
attempting to cover up their long-standing support of his regime.
Analysts commented that unless the CCP changes
its tyrannical dictatorship, it will end up like Gadhafi』s did.

On October 23, Libya』s National Transitional Council (NTC)
announced the liberation of Libya.
Within eight months, Libyan citizens will go to the polls
to elect its National Assembly officials,
who will be in charge of drafting a new constitution
and forming a provisional government until Libya』s
first democratic president is elected.

After eight months of bloody conflicts, Libya has become the third
Arabic country to overthrow an authoritarian regime.
Throngs of Libyans have filled the streets, cheering
the death of Gadhafi and his 42-year bloody reign.

On October 20, Gadhafi was captured in his hometown.
While being dragged out of a concrete water drain,
he shouted in horror, “Don』t shoot me!"
However, he was severely beaten and later shot.
His body was dragged behind a vehicle,
while crowds of people took pictures.

The report, Gadhafi』s Last Video Shocked The World,
which was published by the CCP』s mouthpiece, Xinhuanet.com
and People.com.cn, showed a picture of Gadhafi』s dead body.
This picture has touched a nerve within the CCP ranks.

Chen Weijian, editor-in-chief of New Zealand-based
Newspaper, Xinbao, commented that for any dictator,
such a picture would make their blood run cold.
From Fazio Se Sike, to Saddam Hussein, to Osama bin Laden,
to Gadhafi, as well as Hosni Mubarak, who was wheeled
into a cage during his court trial, all these scoundrels have met their proper fate.

U.S.-based commentator on China politics, Cao Changqing:
“All these dictators had a domineering and arrogant swagger
about them, when they were in power, and they seemed invincible.
But where is their power, now?
After people shed their fear of these dictators and stood up to them,
these dictator』s tyrannical reign ended with one blow.”

The fact that Gadhafi』s was hated around the world
has always dismayed his loyal and long-time ally, the CCP.
On October 22, China』s Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
published an article on its official website about an interview it had
with Lu Shaye, director of its Department of African Affairs.
Lu claimed, “Gadhafi is not a friend of China."
This is the first time that the CCP has issued an official statement
stating that Gadhafi is not a friend of the CCP.

Wu Fan, editor-in-chief of China Affairs magazine:
“CCP military officials supported Arabic tyrants
in order to fight against the West and to initiate territorial wars.
But all these tyrants ended up being killed.
Now, the CCP realizes that its support of these dictators
has done nothing to advance its own interests,
thus they want to withdraw their previous remarks.
However, it is too late to do so because whatever the CCP
has done is recorded in history, thus there is no way to change
the facts of history.”

For decades now, the CCP has considered Gadhafi an old friend,
a coalition that opposed the West, an advocator of concept of the third world.
Gadhafi used the CCP』s massacre on June 4, 1989
as justification to kill his fellow Libyans.

The day after Gadhafi』s death, Xinhuanet quoted
the CCP』s former ambassador to Libya, Wang Lihou,
as saying that Gadhafi was “a revolutionary idealist,"
“a legendary hero."
Wang praised him as “an anti-American hero” and
“a desert lion."

Prior to that, the CCP』s official mouthpiece, CCTV,
highly prasied Gadhafi with a feature show titled,
Maverick Gadhafi.
On the same day of Gadhafi』s death, CCTV broadcasted
a program titled, The 42-Year Reign of Gadhafi,
describing the CCP as an “unabashed advocate of Gadhafi,”
“a handful of " and “residual forces" among others
that had never used in the past.

Zhan Jiang, a professor at China Youth University for
Political Sciences, said in his microblog that, “The direction of the wind has changed a little too fast for the CCP.
This can best be described as: “When a wall is about to collapse,
the CCTV gives it a push.”
Zhang Ming, a professor at Renmin University of China,
also satirized the situation with his online post: “The CCP has gone too far. It』s even lost its gangland ethics.”

Zhang Ming, an expert on China』s issues: “The CCP
and Gadhafi fall into the same category.
In order to diminish the public』s reaction, to Gadhafi』s death,
the CCP rushed to publicly announce how China has not been a friend of Gadhafi.
Secondly, the CCP fears that the collapse of the Gadhafi regime
might cause a chain reaction, especially among Chinese civilians.”

Former director of Radio France Internationale』s Chinese sector,
Wu Baozhang, said that the Jasmine Revolution has spelled death to all dictatorial regimes.
CCP members are facing a severe test.

They will be either buried alive with the last communist empire,
or to be like Libyan rebel officials and soldiers,
who are looking forward to a bright future for their country,
as soon as possible.

Chen Weijian believes that Gadhafi』s plead for mercy,
“Do not shoot me!" could prove to be a warning to the CCP..
The basis of “Do not shoot me" is “Do not shoot people.”

Editor-in-Chief of China Affairs magazine, Wu Fan,
pointed out that Gadhafi』s death shows that a dictatorship cannot
stop the ongoing trend of countries adopting democracy
and the universal values.
