Facebook

CCP Propaganda—’Love the Party’ Over ‘Love China’

The Global Times recently published an article influenced by

the Chinese Communist Party(CCP)’s mouthpiece media,

People’s Daily, mixing the concept of being ‘patriotic’ with

‘loving the CCP’, saying “anti-communism damages China".

Although this has always been the CCP’s argument,

with over 170 million people having quit the CCP,

does China’s younger generation follow this propaganda?

And how should we interpret the authorities’ intention

behind this article?

The Global Times published an article on Sept. 10, titled

Patriotism and Love of the Party is the Same in China.

The popular view of the generation born in the 80’s and 90’s

is that being patriotic does not need to mean loving the CCP.

The article slates this view, saying it’s influenced by Western

countries wanting to tap into the powerbase of the CCP.

Li Xiaowan, a junior college student in Shen Zhen:

“To our generation, ‘love our country’, ‘love our people’,

‘love the Chinese nation’—these are all completely different

from ‘love the Party’.”

“The CCP owns so many special police and armed police,

and they commit murder, arson, forced demolitions, rob land

from the people and cover up their crimes.”

“So many corrupt officials transfer their assets and family

overseas, while they harm their country and its people—

why should we love the CCP?”

Former editor of Hebei People’s Radio Station, Zhu Xinxin

says, this shows the CCP’s indoctrination through coercion

does not work anymore, as today’s generation are no longer

fooled by the CCP’s brainwashing techniques.

Zhu Xinxin: “In fact, the whole of the younger generation

are awakening and they are aware of human rights.”

“They can naturally evaluate things independently

and they know the facts through the internet,

using advanced information channels.”

“Which is correct?—The CCP’s theory or universal values?

Young people can make the right choice themselves."

Zhu Xinxin says in the past the CCP boasted itself as being

a “mother” to its people, but now the old tune is not working.

So the CCP is trying to mix “Party" with “country",

but people have lost all hope in the CCP and are not fooled.

Zhu Xinxin: “Let’s say that the CCP’s ideology is the truth,

then why can’t it withstand western views?

People make the right choice and aren’t confused; the official

media broadcasts it on a daily basis only for the CCP.”

Australian resident and former History professor in China,

Li Yuanhua, says the CCP is an obstacle to China’s revival

as if the prime malignant tumor in China; it’s not subject to

supervision and everyone is against its one-party dominance.

The CCP has been closing its doors to the outside world

and fooling its people internally, while relying on violence

and extreme pressure to maintain its regime.

Li Yuanhua: “The CCP has always mixed the concepts,

‘love your country’ and ‘love the Party’.”

“It wants to continue its one-party dictatorship, but people

are becoming increasingly clear that only the disintegration

of the CCP will lead to a better future for China.”

“The CCP also feels its own crisis, so while in panic,

it continues to try to mix these concepts.”

“I think less people are confused now

with the CCP’s wicked theory."

Li Yuanhua says the core issue is to remove the CCP from

the concept of patriotism and the love of China as a nation.

In November 2004, The Epoch Times published a series of

editorials titled Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party,

which objectively and accurately exposed the history

and nature of the CCP.

It has led to a huge wave of people quitting the CCP

and its affiliated organizations.

Currently the number has reached over 170 million,

according to The Epoch Times website.
