Facebook

Communist Regime Has Been Notified of Zhou Yongkang’s Case

Prior to the opening of the second session of the 12th

National People’s Congress in Beijing, spokesperson

for the general assembly, Lu Xinhua, neither denied

nor refuted a question regarding Zhou Yongkang.

His remark, “You understand", was interpreted as an

acknowledgement of Zhou’s situation

and the Communist central’s awareness of his case.

During the March 2 press conference, a reporter with

Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post asked

for Congress’ response over widespread reports

about Zhou Yongkang.

After a brief silence, spokesman Lu Xinhua said,

“In fact, just like you, I heard from a media outlet."

Lu Xinhua said that the authorities had processed 31 cadres,

including at the ministerial level, alleged of law violations.

Analysts believe the message conveyed in Lu’s statement is,

“regardless of the title, those who violated the Party rules

and state laws are subject to serious investigation

and severe punishment."

Lu Xinhua finally said: “I can only answer this way,

you understand."

At this time, the audience burst into laughter.

Zhang Jian, China social issue researcher: “The incumbent

spokespersons are different from former ones.

Their humorous attitude is more people friendly.

‘You understand’ means that (Zhou Yongkang) has been

arrested, what’s left is when and in what way the news

will be publicized.

The Congress is one of the regime’s rubber stamps,

he could only go along with (the official message)."

Commentator Xing Tianxing: “The Q&A, even though

a clear answer was not provided, is tantamount to tacit

approval of the the Zhou Yongkang case.

On the surface, it can also be inferred that Zhou Yongkang’s

case has been conveyed to the central."

After the press conference, a reporter suspected the question

was premeditated by the authorities.

Xing Tianxing: “In fact, I have my doubts too.

In the politically sensitive regime, this question was proposed

by a Hong Kong reporter, rather than some reporters

of neutral areas, such as from the West, I believe the Q&A

imposed such a message and intention."

South China Morning Post also subsequently reported that

the Communist official publicly hinted that

the Zhou Yongkang case will soon to be announced.

Xing Tianxing: “Zhou Yongkang is completely over.

People who were involved with him, big or small, including

those who have yet to be investigated, have been warned

with a message.

It is a sign to tell those people to behave.

Otherwise, they’ll be next."

Commentator Xing Tianxing indicates that the regime

intended not to directly publish Zhou Yongkang’s case

before the annual parliament meetings.

Xing Tianxing: “To highlight the approaching parliament

meetings, they want to avoid Zhou Yongkang’s case from

taking the spotlight.

The publication of the case will bring up all relevant cases.

To maintain stability during the parliament meetings

they need to implement tactics to bring up Zhou’s case."

The Communist Clean Government Network

reported on March 2 the central notification

regarding Zhou Yongkang’s alleged

serious violation.

According to the Politburo decision, Zhou Yongkang

has been expelled from the party, pending the ratification

of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 18th National Congress.

Zhang Jian: “The annual parliament meetings are the best

timing to minimize Zhou Yongkang’s case.

The Kunming terrorist violence is now being used

to cover up another incident.

Kunming’s incident has absorbed the focus

of the entire country.

This is the best time to expose Zhou Yongkang’s case."

The Epoch Times analyzed that the semi-official

announcement of Zhou Yongkang’s case was in reaction

to the escalating threats from the Jiang faction such

as the assassination attempt of Ex- Chief Editor

of Hong Kong’s Ming Pao, Kevin Lau Chun-to,

and the killings in Kunming right before the annual

parliament meetings.
