First 7-days After Li Wangyang’s Death, Related Persons Were Placed Under House Arrest, Went Missing, or Were Harassed.

The London-based Amnesty International issued an open

letter to the chairman of Chinese National People’s Congress

Standing Committee, Wu Bangguo, on June 12th, urging

the National People’s Congress to immediately conduct

a total independent investigation on the sudden death

of Tiananmen Incident person Li Wangyang in Hunan province.

A Hunan-based activist Yin Zhengan, who is currently under

house arrest by CCP authorities, said to VOA,

“After the Li Wangyang incident, a dozen persons have been

placed under house arrest or have gone missing so far.

Some are still unaccounted for.

I heard that they have been taken away by CCP national

security police.

Some friends in Shaoyang are suffering due to being

monitored, placed under house arrests, and losing contact.

Yin Zhengan was under house arrest for 7 days.

In all of Hunan, the only person who can keep smooth

communications with the outside is Yin Zhengan.

Chinese human rights legal worker Tang Jingling and his

family were harassed because of his participation in Li Wangyang’s “suicide” case.

He was forced to suspend the investigation of this case.

June 7, Tang Jingling accepted the entrustment of Li

Wangling, Li Wangyang’s younger sister, to investigate the bizarre death of Li Wangyang.

Tang Jingling has now gone back home to Guangzhou.

At the same time, human rights activists in Hubei Province,

such as the civil rights group Liu Feiyue’s “people’s livelihood Studio", etc., have been successively released.

After the bizarre “suicide” death of Li Wangyang, some

human rights activists and dissidents have issued statements saying, “I do not commit suicide.”

Wuhan national security police: Qin Yongmin is in custody

In addition, one of the founders of China Democracy Party,

a 59-year-old dissident Qin Yongmin who was married on May 13, has been controlled by the authorities in Wuhan.

Before June 4th this year, the couple was taken away from

home by the police, thus lost contact with the outside world.

Qin Yongmin’s third brother received a phone called from

the National security police of Qingshan district,

Wuhan City on June 12th, saying that Qin Yongmin was

in their custody.

He said to “Voice of America" that he had been looking

for the Qin Yongmin couple everywhere, but the authorities did not inform about the situation.

When they noticed him looking for Qin Yongmin everywhere,

they called him and said that Qin Yongmin was in their hands.

In addition, they said nothing at all.

For participating in “Xidan Democracy Wall” in Beijing

and other series of civil political movements, Qin Yongmin was sentenced to detention more than 20 years.

His new wife, Wang Xifeng is from Shanxi, graduated from

Shanxi Normal University.

Former representive of the National People’s Congress

of Qianjiang city, Hubei province,

civil rights activist Yao Lifa, told “Voice of America"

that there is no legal basis for Qin Yongmin’s seizure.

He said, “this time, Mr. Qin Yongmin was not in administrative

detention, nor criminal detention, and it is nothing at all.

But the authorities controlled him, without any legal

programs and legal procedures.

Of course the authorities’ action is illegal, because

the authorities limited the freedom of citizens,

even if he was during the period of being deprived

of political rights.”
