Rainstorm impacts CCP’s regime, is the Gu Kailai trial meant to shift people’s attention?

When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), top officials’

meeting, unofficially referred to as the “palace conspiracy,” is held in Beidaihe, the power struggle is very intense.

The deaths caused by the rainstorm incident in Beijing

has stirred the people’s anger and discontent.

On July 25, CCP mouthpiece media released the news

of the Beijing mayor’s resignation,

expecting to quell the public resentment with a feint shot.

However, netizens saw through it.

On July 26, CCP mouthpiece media suddenly issued

news of Gu Kailai’s indictment.

Netizens also believe that there is a hidden agenda.

A Twitter user named Dashuzaixiao said, “The CCP bandits

expose Gu’s case at this time, and the purpose is to shift our attention to the rainstorm.”

A Dalian netizen of Sina microblogg named Shouxiguancha

also sneered, “The open indictment comes just in time.”

The Epoch Times News comment that CCP’s sudden

announcement of Gu’s being openly indicted is in a time

that its power is in crisis, and the purpose is

to “maintain the stability.”

The report pointed out that the criminal identification

of Gu’s crime shows CCP is trying to maintain its rule

and to cover up the scandal of Zhou Yongkang

and Bo Xilai’s coup plot.

Beijing updates death toll, netizens point out deaths are being concealed

With the disastrous rainstorm in Beijing, CCP authorities

didn’t update the death toll until five day after

the incident, claiming 77 persons lost lives,

with no reports of disappearances at present.

This figure is very different from the number civil society

collected. Once again it aroused the people’s dissatisfaction.

Some netizens pointed out that “They (CCP authorities)

are too contemptible. It’s definitely more than this figure.”

Some netizens also described their experience and confirmed

that the data of CCP authorities is false.

A netizen named Rong Rongtian said, “Near the Huang

Guantun Bridge of Fangshan District, nearly 100 vehicles were pulled out, including buses.

Over 1,000 persons died, many of them were inside the buses.”

Another netizen named NUSKIN_Li also broke the news

that over 200 corpses were salvaged at Nangangwa.

Netizen Hui Jie said that as far as he knows, several hundred

persons were washed away only from Yesanpo to Shidu Town.

And the non-official website Pan-China Network collects

online news about the Beijing rainstorm; the statistics

of the death number was up to 5,864 until the evening

of July 26th, with another 123 persons missing.

In addition, some netizens revealed that, due to reporting

the news of the Beijing rainstorm,

the “Southern Weekend" and “Southern Metropolis Daily”

in Guangzhou had 8 and 4 pages removed respectively.
