Many Arrests In Aksu Xinjiang

The Chinese Community Party (CCP) has adopted

stringent security measures in Xinjiang as the fourth anniversary of 7.5 draws closer.

All over Xinjiang, high pressure maintenance of social

stability has been implemented.

Qingzhen Mosque in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang,

is under the armed forces’ control.

Armed police and armored vehicles are everywhere.

Local people describe Urumqi as ready for battle.

“Radio Free Asia" reported on Dilixiati, spokesman of the

“World Uyghur Congress," headquartered in Germany.

Dilixiati said that under the armed forces’ monitoring, family

members of anyone involved in 7.5 are under forced isolation.

They are prohibited from contacting each other.

He also revealed that on Thursday evening, several Uighurs

were taken away by police in Aksu, on the way to Kashi.

Uighur Scholar: Beijing Should Reflect On Xinjiang Policies

On July 5, Beijing Uighur scholar, Tohti, published an open

letter to People’s Congress and the State Council.

He called on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to publish

the whereabouts of people involved in the 7.5 incident.

The letter said, during the “7.5 incident" in 2009,

1800 people were arrested.

Some were sentenced to death; some got life imprisonment,

some were released, and others went missing.

Presently, 34 missing persons were confirmed

being arrested by police.

But, so far, the families of these missing persons are unable

to obtain information of their whereabouts.

Tohti said that Uighurs have been disappointed or resentful

over how the CCP handled that incident.

Tohti believes that the CCP is using “terrorism" to kidnap

the entire Uighur nation.

He said that mass incidents happen everywhere in the

Mainland.

However, if an incident involves Uighurs,

it will be claimed as a results of three forces.

Such a practice exacerbates the distrust and

tensions among races.

Tohti told “the Associated Press," the CCP must reflect on

the implementation of high-handed policy in Xinjiang and

assume the responsibility of Xinjiang’s happenings,

now and in the future.

Strange Fire Burns National Cotton Storage

Following the strange fire of Heilongjiang grain storage,

an unusual fire that burned for over 20 hours was

disclosed two days after the incident.

According to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)

mouthpiece “People’s Daily,"

on July 1, China’s National Cotton Storage

in Shanxi caught fire.

Over 10,500 square meters and 24,600 tons

of cotton were burned.

The staff at the storage called the fire department,

saying lightning caused the storage to burn.

More than 130,000 people read that news online,

but almost no one believed it was caused by lightening.

Some netizen said, “Shifting the responsibility to heaven

is an insult to our intelligence.”

One critic said, “Grain and cotton relate to national security.

You cannot use fire and lightening to destroy evidence;

we must investigate the corruption factors behind this.

Some people lamented: “China’s oil burned, China’s grain

storage burned and now it is China’s cotton storage.

It seems anything containing the word “China” will be burned.”
