Facebook

First Evidence of the June 4th Massacre Arrives in Hong Kong

June 4th Student Movement ended in blood, tanks,

and the firing of bullets some 24 years ago in Beijing.

Since then, June 4th has become the pain of the families of

those victims, and of the whole nation.

Recently, evidence of the Communist regime conducting

the massacre against the Tiananmen student movement,

arrived in Hong Kong for the first time.

It confirms the Communist army did shoot the students

during the suppression of the democratic movement at

Tiananmen Square in 1989.

Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic

Democratic Movements in China (HK Alliance),

presented belongings of deceased Wang Nan,

victim of the June 4th Massacre,

outside the June 4th Memorial Museum at

City University of Hong Kong on May 12.

They included a helmet Wang Nan wore when he was shot,

a pair of glasses, a death certificate,

his declaration to a hunger strike, a headband and a banner.

Wang Nan’s helmet clearly shows a bullet hole.

His death certificate stated,

“Died outside of hospital with a gunshot wound.”

Whereas, a cremation certificate issued by the Public

Security Bureau only stated, “Died outside of hospital."

Zhang Xianling, 『Tiananmen Mothers』 campaign co-founder:

“Those materials belonged to my son, Wang Nan.

They are exactly the physical evidence.

The facts speak for themselves and those are the

evidence and the proof of his killing.

There’s got to be more than just these from my son.

Some people don’t know how to present them to the outside world.

I believe more of them will eventually come out."

Zhang Xianling explained that, since her son’s death,

she’d kept them with her all the while.

She later transferred them to a friend to keep,

as she is getting old now.

She did not know until two days ago that her friend

had donated these materials to the June 4th Memorial Museum.

Zhang Xianling: “When people see these things,

they’ll understand ever better.

Even the authorities might learn a thing or two.

It should help to wake them all up."

Fang Zhen, a participant of June 4th Student Movement:

“They have finally showed up. It’s a mixed feeling.

The June 4th suppression was more than a massacre.

It was also a process to murder and destroy criminal evidence.

That’s why not much evidence has remained.

Facing the pressure from the regime, people would not dare

to show them, even if they kept them.”

These materials, evidence of June 4th massacre,

were reportedly to take a year arriving in to Hong Kong through intermediate channels.

They are the first batch of materials related to the

June 4th massacre, the HK Alliance have received to date.

HK Alliance refused to disclose the donor but confirmed

the source and authenticity of these materials.

HK Alliance indicated these materials will not be exhibited

until the permanent June 4th Memorial Museum is built.

For 24 years, the Communist regime has claimed the June 4th

Student Movement “a serious political turmoil",

and insisted that no one had died at Tiananmen Square.

Cheng Cunzhu, a participant of June 4th Student Movement:

“More people are slowly realizing that killing occurred

at Tiananmen Square on that day.

The regime did not dare to openly defend

the authorities being accountable for their actions,

but just kept covering things up by stating no one was killed.

It also showed that the suppression was wrong.

If it was right, the regime could have just admitted the killing.”

Cheng Cunzhu pointed out that many more people also realized,

the Communist regime has no legitimate grounds on which

to provide justification for the June 4th Massacre.

However, without solving the June 4th issue,

the so-called China Dream is just an ironic joke.

Zheng Cunzhu: “Xi Jinping has talked about the China Dream,

indicating the youngsters deserve to dream on May 4th.

In fact, 24 years ago, those youngsters at Tiananmen Square

did have a dream.

We dreamt of a powerful and democratic China with no corruption.

That dream was broken by the Chinese Communist Party.

Their army and tanks have shattered those dreams of ours,

the students, and the younger generations."

The 24th anniversary of the Tiananmen Incident is approaching.

Memory might fade along with the time,

but the wound is still so hard to heal.

Recently, an internet list of victims who died of the June 4th

Massacre, has already started to spread in China today.
