Facebook

80 Tortures Exist in China’s Forced Labor Camps

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) authorities

recently announced that the re-education through

forced labor system will be discontinued this year.

The labor camp system has always been controversial.

This news once again aroused the attention

of many groups in China and overseas.

An NTD reporter interviewed Zhang Yijie,

former general office director of the Foreign

Trade and Economic Cooperation Department.

Zhang Yijie was sentenced to three years of

forced labor in a camp for practicing Falun Gong.

In the labor camp, she was tortured

with 80 different inhumane methods.

Let’s look at the report.

“Discontinuing the forced labor camp system"

has been quite misleading from the media.

According to official websites, there was message that

forced labor camps will be discontinued within one year.

It was then deleted.

Whether re-education through labor system

should be abolished, stopped, or reformed

has becomes a focus of attention.

The data from the Mainland Ministry of Justice shows over

60,000 people were sent to the forced labor camps in 2012.

Since the implementation of re-education

through forced labor, the number of inmates

has varied, from 5,000 to 300,000 annually.

Mainland writer Tie Liu highlights that the forced

labor camp system violates China’s Constitution.

However, it has lasted more than 50 years.

It really is not a matter of reform, and it

should have been banned a long time ago.

Zhang Yijie was a former director of the General

Office of the State Council Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Department.

She also helped Minister Shi Guangsheng

and Wu Yi to draft a nation-wide work report.

In 1999, Jiang Zemin launched the

policy of persecuting of Falun Gong.

Zhang Yijie was personally ordered by Li Lanqing,

vice premier of the State Council, to go to the

labor camp for refusing to give up her belief.

Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Yijie:

“I was a victim for seven years.

I was arrested seven times. Li Lanqing subordinates

sentenced me to 18 months of forced labor in a camp.

I experienced many kinds of mental and physical

torture. There were about 80 different methods.

If one does not have strong willpower and belief, one

could not endure such inhumane and brutal persecution.”

She also pointed out that enduring the mental

suffering is much harder than physical pain.

The presence of the forced labor camp system in

China is a tragedy. It is also the tragedy of the world.

Zhang Yijie: “The existence of re-education through

forced labor system is for the CCP to maintain their rule.

It was created for that kind of evil

structure, and its presence is illegal."

Falun Gong practitioner Jiao Jian, a former general

manager of “Sohu” network Guangzhou Branch,

was also illegally sentenced to a labor camp.

She told her story of persecution to NTD Television.

“A dozen people standing outside my

house, I was afraid to open the door.

They broke into my house, holding guns

and cameras, which was quite terrifying.

They ransacked my house and found

recordings of the Falun Dafa lectures.

I was sentenced to a labor camp

for three years because of that.”

Political commentator Xia Xiaojiang, believes that

the labor camp system is an “extrajudicial land.

The authorities do not need to go through

any judicial proceedings in order to deprive

ordinary citizens’ personal freedom.

This black hole is even worse than prisons,

as there is no legal monitoring supervision.

Killings and torture in labor camps have

been beyond anyone’s imagination.

Xia Xiaoqiang: “Under Jiang Zemin’s policy of

persecuting Falun Gong, being murdered is called suicide,

concluded with the direct cremation

without examination of the body.

Numerous inhumane crimes have been

committed, including live organ harvesting.

Because a large number of Falun Gong practitioners

have been illegally sent to the labor camps,

they have formed a huge human organ bank.

In a society which is low in morality, the medical system

and the labor camp system collude together for profit.

As a result, a scale of unprecedented

evil in this planet was committed.”

Xia Xiaoqiang also commented that calling

for an end and abolition of re-education

through forced labor is far from enough.

It must be a full investigation of the Politics and

Law Committee’s system of maintaining stability.

Those people who have caused millions of Chinese

people to suffer should be brought to justice.
