Jailed for Exposing Jiang Zemin: Recently Severely Ill and Hospitalized

Lu Jiaping, a 73-year-old historian, had a heart attack in
Hunan Shaoyang prison, and sent to hospital for treatment.

He was sentenced to 10 years in 2011 for disclosing
Jiang Zemin as a traitor and Jiang’s other past problems.

Mr. Lu’s family is worried about his health and
called for his release as soon as possible.

On Feb 4, Yu Junyi, Lu Jiaping’s wife, received a phone call
from Shaoyang Prison asking her to visit Mr. Lu because
Mr. Lu’s heart malfunctioned. In the prison visiting room,
after Yu spoke briefly to her husband, he could hold up
no longer and had to rest upon his stomach.

As he was about to be taken to hospital, he fell to the ground,
then stretchered to a private hospital in Shaoyang.

On Feb 5, Mr. Lu’s wife, oldest son and grandson were allowed
to visit him in hospital. Mr. Lu couldn’t sleep all night
because of angina.

In addition to heart disease, Mr. Lu also has diabetes,
lacuna infarction, gall stone, cholecystitis, lumbar disc protrusion
and bronchiectasis.

Yu Haochen, his son: “My dad has been sick for a while and
he is 73 years old already. However, they will not release him
on bail for medical treatment. Actually, he didn’t do anything
significant but wrote some articles on Jiang Zemin’s background."

Yu Haochen said his father is a historian with rigorous standards.
Before he wrote any articles, he always referred to a great amount
of material.

As early as February 2004, Mr. Lu published an article titled
“Some Facts and Stories Regarding Jiang Zemin Addressed to
the Central Leadership, National Congress Representative and
Members of the Political Consultative Conference".
In the article, Mr. Lu talked about Jiang’s historical background
and the process of his joining the CCP.
He also talked about “things between Jiang Zemin and Song Zuying".
At the beginning of his article, Mr. Lu added a comment:
“Mr. Lu Jiaping is willing to sacrifice all his personal belongings
to fight against quisling-ism, corruption and dictatorship".

Soon after, Mr. Lu was cracked down on by Zhou Yongkang,
Jiang Zemin’s close follower.

In addition to being stalked and monitored,
Mr and Mrs. Lu were forced to move back to Hunan Shaoyang,
where their household was registered.

Their two sons’ lives were also impacted.

On December 1, 2009, Mr. Lu wrote another article titled
“Calling for Investigation of Jiang Zemin’s Political Fraud".

In the article, he said that first of all, both Jiang Zemin himself
and his birth father were traitors working for Japanese.

Second, Jiang Zemin worked for a spy structure of Russia
and sold a large area of land to Russia.

The first phony identity of Jiang is that he claimed to join the CCP
in 1949. His second phony identify is that he pretended to be
the adopted son of martyr Jiang Shangqing.

After Lu Jiaping’s article was published, it evoked a lot of
repercussions in China and overseas.

It also brought more trouble to him.

Based upon Yu Haochen, at the end of August, 2010,
Zhou Yongkang himself gave the order to arrest Lu Jiaping
from Shaoyang.

On May 13, 2011, Lu Jiaping was sentenced to 10 years
by Beijing No.1 Intermediate Court with the allegation of
“crime of subverting the state’s political power".

Yu Chenhao said his father had been in jail four and half years
already. Because the living conditions in the prison are very bad,
it’s detrimental to his father’s health.

Given my dad is suffering from so many illnesses,
he should have been better taken care of.

Yu Haochen: “Even from a humanitarian point of view,
a 73-year old man should have been released.
What damage can he create fof the government?
How can those few articles he wrote damage anything?
In addition, a lot of articles that my father wrote,
including those exposing Jiang Zemin, are confirmed already.
Now Jiang’s identity as the CCP martyr’s adopted son
is widely denied by his fellows."

Xin Ziling, specialist on CCP party history,
told NTD that even though he had never seen Mr. Lu in person,
he did read the articles that Mr. Lu wrote.

He found out that what Mr. Lu wrote was supported with
good evidence.

Xin Ziling:"Mr. Lu will be acquitted of the charge because
what he said were facts were verified by historical investigation.

Right now, his case hasn’t proceeded to that step
so he isn’t released yet. As long as Mr. Lu can survive this most
difficult time, he will see the day he is acquitted of the charge."

Yu Chenhao also said right now the current government has
softened their attitude to his father and their family.

The prison officials even went to visit his father once.

Even the local Justice Bureau, which strongly objected
to his father being released on bail for medical treatment
2 years ago, also relaxed their attitude.

Thus, it seems that Jiang Zemin’s position in CCP governance
is changing.
