Xi Jinping angered? Rumors Say Investigation on Jiang Zemin Launched

After the news of investigating Zhou Yongkang was published,
a few days ago, news from Beijing high levels has come out.
Due to various reasons, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Head
Xi Jinping has officially launched an investigation against
the former CCP Head Jiang Zemin.

One of the key reasons is: Jiang’s faction has been constantly
stirring the situation into chaos in an
excessively arrogant way.

During the period of investigating the former Politburo
Standing Committee member Zhou Yongkang and the former
Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xu Caihou.

The news from Beijing high levels said that during the process
Beijing Authorities successively arrested Bo Xilai, Xu Caihou
and Zhou Yongkang, who were all deliberately
trained by Jiang Zemin.
Jiang’s faction unscrupulously obstructed and counterattacked,
and even publicly challenged in the media, triggering
Xi Jinping to decide to launch the investigation
against Jiang Zemin earlier.

The news from Beijing alleged that Jiang’s faction
had planned to assassinate President Xi Jinping.
If Xi Jinping does not investigate it thoroughly,
then he will get into trouble.

Beijing politics watcher Mr Hua Po: Zhou Yongkang’s case and
Xu Caihou’s case were first reported and guided by the news
for example in tabloids, eventually the whispers were all
confirmed by the official media.
Jiang Zemin is very old and he has no influence.

But he is at least a sign and followers surrounding him used
his name to support and bolster themselves.
Especially, in the most critical moments (he) will stand up
and speak for everyone in his faction.

Considering the past cases from the arrest of Bo Xilai to
the arrest of Zhou Yongkang, there are many political news items,
which are labelled with “rumors" by the authorities.

However, afterwards they are often proved to be “ahead of
the prophecy", or released information by one side
during the factional struggle.

Many rumours showed traces of Jiang’s faction
trying to stop the investigation.

For example, two years ago in March, after Bo Xilai was
dismissed from office, on the Internet it was spread that
some photos show military vehicles entering into the city late
at night and that gunfire was even heard in the city.
Overseas media cited that the news sources which are close
to Zhongnanhai, said that this was Zhou Yongkang commanding
the military police in Beijing City and he was trying to
launch a coup, but was defeated by the Central Government.

Overseas media reports said after Zhou Yongkang’s
coup failed, around summer time at the “Beidaihe Meeting"
in 2012, Zhou Yongkang had at least another two attempts
to assassinate President Xi Jinping.

The first time was to place a time bomb in the conference
room, and another was when Xi Jinping went for a medical check
in hospital 301 of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), he was
almost injected with poisoned needle.
Hence Xi Jinping had to relocate to Bejing “Xishan Military
Command Centre" in order to prevent any unexpected accident.
Such a piece of news coincided with the period from the end of
August to September 14, when Xi Jinping suddenly
disappeared from public sight.

According to senior reporter Gao Yu in mainland, he disclosed:
in January of 2013, Xi Jinping and Wang Qishan launched a
movement named, “To oppress the tigers and flies together".

They planed to investigate one member of the Politburo
Standing Committee, two members of the Politburo
and one former Secretary of the Secretariat.

At that time Jiang Zemin shouted at Wang Qishan,
The “Tiger Scheme" was later stranded.

In addition to the non-official civilian saying, the CCP
mouthpiece media have even been marked
with Jiang’s faction’s counterattack.

For example, when the fire of anti-corruption spread to the
backyard of former Minister of Public Security Li Dongsheng ,
the “CCTV" Oprah Jing Yidan accepted the “Southern Weekend"
interview and innuendo of Xi Jinping.
He remarked: To be qualified on hitting the tiger,
you have to ask yourself, am I a hero like Wusong or
someone like that?

Even after the case of Zhou Yongkang had been officially
announced for an investigation, the reports in the media
in China were still quite restricted.

When the mouthpiece media reported the news:
Arresting Zhou Yongkang is not a full stop on corruption.
They appeared hesitant.

Headquartered in the United States, located at University of
California, Berkeley, China Digital Times Web site disclosed,
the CCP Propaganda Department issued instructions
to limit the reporting of Zhou Yongkang.
For example, an article dated on People’s Daily Website on
July 29 was removed which is titled, “Arresting “the major
tiger" Zhou Yongkang is not a full stop on corruption".

It is stipulated that this article shall not
be forwarded and hyped up.

Nevertheless, there are still CCP media recently issuing
the signal of “Chasing the bigger tiger behind Zhou Yongkang".

US-based political critic Tianxiao Li:
When Xi Jinping carries out the anti-corruption, Jiang’s
faction constantly counterattacks and stirs up chaos.

This has prompted Xi Jinping to constantly
execute counterattacking measures.
As a result, today’s arrested tigers are bigger and larger.

In my opinion, Jiang Zemin had no more time
for performing himself.

Beijing scholar Wu Zuolai believes that crony capitalism
was developed by one Chinese patriarch Deng Xiaoping
and Jiang Zemin, who produced the tragedy
of institutional corruption in China.

If the CCP have “systemic corruption", so “how" do you
undertake the institutional corruption from within?
If they really want the Tiger, among the retired and current
Communist leaders, there should be larger tigers.
So, in the process of fighting against the Tigers, how will
Xi Jinping be able to deal with this corruption of the system?
These problems not only make Chinese people deeply think,
but also led to sustained attention to overseas media.
