被认为是中共最大政坛丑闻的中共前重庆市委书记“薄熙来案”,再度成为海外媒体关注的焦点。

1月25号,香港《大公报》报导说,“薄熙来案”1月28号将在贵州省会贵阳开庭审理,为期三天。但是,德国通讯社《德新社》记者询问贵阳人民法院时,一名女工作人员表示,“这不可能”。

《德国之声》也报导说,贵阳中级法院的两名办公室工作人员都表示,他们没有收到任何指示,和关于案件审理的材料,也不知道这个案件将来是否在贵阳法院开审,但是法院目前已经成为世界的焦点。

高应朴提前出狱 与薄案开审有关?

据《自由亚洲电台》报导,因批评“重庆模式”,而被重庆当局以“煽动颠覆国家政权罪”判处有期徒刑3年的媒体人高应朴,1月20号提前半年获得释放。

高应朴的妻子李丹心表示,她也是在丈夫获释前几天才接到通知,但是因为什么原因提前获释,当局没有多加说明。

有评论认为,高应朴提前获释,与审讯“薄熙来案”的临近有关。

高应朴毕业于“武汉大学”新闻系,曾任《亚太经济时报》编辑部主任及重庆《华商时报》总编室主任。

山东访民省两会大厅自焚

山东省一名多年上访没有结果的拆迁户檀曙光,1月25号,在刚刚举行完人大、政协两会的会议大厅自焚,众多代表和记者目睹事件的发生。

据《自由亚洲电台》报导,檀曙光的双腿严重烧伤,被送往当地医院抢救,留医仅一个半小时,就被政府人员接出,去向不明。

部分三峡基金落入李鹏家族腰包

1月22号,旅德学者、著名水利工程专家王维洛撰文揭露,为建三峡工程,中共当局向大陆老百姓征收1378亿元人民币,作为“三峡基金”,如今,不仅建成后的三峡工程成为“长江电力股份有限公司”股东们的私有财产,其中一部分“三峡基金”更落入李鹏家族腰包。

文章说,李鹏的大儿子李小鹏,在被任命为中共山西省委常委前,担任“华能集团”总经理,以及“华能国际电力开发公司”董事长,和“华能国际集团”董事长职务多年,而中国“长江电力股份有限公司”是“华能集团”旗下企业。

文章透露,当年将三峡工程变为中国“长江电力股份有限公司”的财产,是由李小鹏、李永安、康日新等人一起操办的。

作者指出,2008年,中国“长江电力股份有限公司”的私人持股曾高达52.16%,超过国家持股部分。作为“华能集团”总经理,李小鹏拥有“华能国际电力股份有限公司”的股票,也拥有“长江电力股份有限公司”的股票,有一部分三峡基金就成为李小鹏的私人财产。

German Media: Hearing Date of Bo Xilai Case Still Unknown

Internationally, the Bo Xilai case is deemed the biggest
political scandal of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime.
Now once again, the case has become the media focus.

On January 25th Hong Kong’s Ta Kung Pao reported that Bo
Xilai case will be heard on Jan. 28th in Guiyang, Guizhou.
It will last for three days. Reportedly, a Deutsche Presse
Agentur journalist asked staff at Guiyang’s People’s Court.
He was told “It’s impossible”.

Two staff at Guiyang Intermediate Court told Deutsche Welle
that they haven’t received instruction or material on the case.
They have no idea whether the hearing will be held in the
court, but where seems to be the focus of world attention.

Gao Yingpu To Be Released Six Months Early

Radio Free Asia reported that Gao Yingpu, media professional,
will be released on January 20th six months early.
Gao Yingpu, jailed for criticizing “Chongqing Model”, was
given three years for “inciting subversion of state power"

Gao Yingpu’s wife said she was informed only a few days ago.
not knowing the reason of his early release.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) offered no explanation.

Some commentators believe that Gao’s early release
may relate to the incoming hearing of the Bo Xilai case.

Gao Yingpu, a graduate of Journalism from Wuhan University,
was former editorial director for Asia-Pacific Economic Times.
He also served as director of the Editor-in-Chief Office for
Chongqing-based Huashang Times.

House-Demolition Petitioner in Shandong Self-Immolated

On January 25th Tan Shuguang, a victim of forced house
demolition in Shandong set himself on fire in public.
Tan petitioned for years for redress of grievance
but without success.
The self-immolation took place at the conference hall in
Jinan, where the provincial people’s congress and political consultative conference was held.
Many attendee delegates and journalists
witnessed the incident.

The RFA reported that Tan’s legs were severely burned,
and was sent to local hospital for an emergency treatment.
However, after an hour and half, Tan was taken away by staff
from local CCP authorities, his whereabouts are unknown.

Li Peng family embezzlement of Three Gorges Fund

On January 22, Wang Weiluo, a renowned hydrologist,
disclosed Li Peng family’s embezzlement.
His article said that the Communist Party levied 137.8 billion
Yuan, setting up a Fund for Three Gorges Dam construction.
By far, the established Three Gorges project has turned into
private assets of shareholders in Yangtze Power Co., Ltd.
Some portion of Three Gorge Fund have been pocketed
by Li Peng family.

Wang Weiluo wrote, Li Xiaopeng, the eldest son of Li Peng was
head at Huaneng Group and at Huaneng Int’l Power for years.
Then, Li Xiaopeng was named as CCP Standing Committee
member of Shanxi province. Yangtze Power is affiliated to Huaneng Group.

The article said that Li Xiaopeng, Li Yongan and Kang Rixin
dominated the transformation of Three Gorge project putting
property under the name of Yangtze Power.

Wang Weiluo indicated that in 2008, Yangtze Power’s private
stake reached 52.16%, exceeding the state holding.
Li Xiaopeng, then the general manager of Huaneng Group,
personally had stakes in Huaneng Int’l Power and Yangtze Power.
So some portion of Three Gorges Fund went into
Li Xiaopeng’s personal pockets.
