黑龙江女子监狱最近发生近三百人绝食罢工,抗议狱警暴行事件。

据海外《明慧网》报导,1月6号晚上8点左右,黑龙江女子监狱男狱警曲佳良酒醉后,因故拳打脚踢被非法关押的法轮功学员吕迎华,吕迎华被打到心脏病突发送医院抢救。

报导说,警察打人事件,震动了监狱里所有被关押者,到晚上十点多没有人睡觉,高喊要见狱长。警察不敢开门,都在等待处理意见。第二天,将近有三百人,进行了绝食罢工。

据了解,为了掩盖狱警曲佳良的犯罪事实,监狱已经删除了当天的录像。

据报导,黑龙江女子监狱为了强行剥夺法轮功学员的信仰自由,长期对被非法关押的法轮功学员进行精神折磨和肉体摧残,如谩骂、侮辱人格、野蛮灌食、药物摧残、毒打、户外冷冻,以及长时间剥夺睡眠、和关禁闭等酷刑。

李承鹏广州网友见面会被取消

大陆知名作家李承鹏原定1月20号在广州举行网友见面会,不过,见面会被紧急取消。

下午2点左右赶到“见面会”的广州网友表示,现场已被禁止进入,在大楼不远处,还看到5,6辆警车,以及许多像便衣的人。

湖北荆州爆发大规模警民冲突

1月19号,湖北荆州监利县发生大规模警民冲突事件,上千民众与警察对抗,一辆警察被掀翻,多辆警车被砸,双方都有多人受伤。

据了解,事件的起因是医患纠纷,一名产妇1月12号在监利县中医院剖腹产,第二天突发脑出血,转到人民医院抢救后于17号下午死亡,家属质疑医院的治疗存在问题。

19号,死者家属将尸体抬到中医院讨要说法,当局派出大批特警到医院抢尸,双方发生激烈冲突,家属被打伤,拍照路人也被警方殴打。警察的暴行激起围观人群的愤怒,上千人蜂拥而上围攻警察,当时现场一片混乱。事后,多人被警方带走。

民生观察网负责人遭软禁

大陆《维权网》报导,湖北随州维权人士、“民生观察工作室”负责人刘飞跃,被警方带走软禁已经三天。由于他的手机一直无法接通,目前,还不知道他被软禁在什么地方,什么时候才能获得自由。

据报导,刘飞跃是1月18号下午被随州警方带走并软禁的,原因可能与湖北省将要召开的“两会”有关。

刘飞跃多年来致力于中国的民主人权活动,并创办了关注权利受侵害的“民生观察工作室”及网站,多年来,他遭到地方政府的监控、断网、软禁、殴打、传唤等打压迫害。

300 People Hunger Strike Against Prison Guards’ Atrocities

300 prisoners in Heilongjiang Women’sPrison have started
a hunger strike against Prison Guards Atrocities.

Oversea media Minghui.org reported that drunken prison
guard Qu Jialiang beat up illegally detained Falun Gong
practitioner Lu Yinghua around 8pm on Jan 6th . Lu Yinghua
had a heart attack whiles attacked and was sent to hospital.

The report says the beating incident shocked all detainees.

Around 10pm, no one was asleep and
everyone shouted to see the prison chief.
Prison guards didn’tdare to go in, and waited for
instructions on handling the situation.
The next day, nearly 300 prisoners carried out
a hunger strike.

In order to cover up the crime of prison guard Qu Jialiang,
the prison already deleted the surveillance videos.

According to reports, Heilongjiang Women’sPrison has
tortured Falun Gong practitioners mentally and physically,
in order to force them to give up their freedom of belief.

The means of torture include abuses, humiliation, force
feeding, drug abuse, beatings, outdoor freezer,
as well as prolonged sleep deprivation,
solitary confinement and other tortures.

Meetings of Li Chengpeng and Netizens
in Guangzhou Province Canceled

Famous Mainland Chinese writer Li Chengpeng planed to
meet netizens in Guangzhou Province on Jan 20th .
However, the meeting was canceled in emergency.

According to Guangzhou netizens who went for the meeting,
they were prohibited from entering the site around 2pm.
They saw several police cars and many plainclothes police
near the building.

Clash Between Police And Residents in Hubei Province
Breaks Out in Large-Scale

On January 19th a clash between police and residents
occurred in Jianli County of Jingzhou City in Hubei Province.
Over 1000 residents fought against police. A police car was
overturned, and many police cars were smashed.
Many people got injured on both sides.

The cause of the incident was a medical dispute.

A pregnant woman had a caesarean section in Chinese
Medicine Hospital of Jianli County on January 12th.
The woman had a sudden cerebral hemorrhage the next day.

After being transferred to the People’sHospital,
she died on the afternoon of 17th.
Her family suspects that the hospital had treatment problems.

On the 19th, family of the deceased took the body to the
Chinese Medicine Hospital for dissection.
Local authority dispatched many special police to the
hospital to snatch the body.
They had big conflict with the family.

Some family members were injured.
Police also beat passersby who took pictures.
The police outrage irritated the crowds.
Over 1000 people fought against the police.
The site was a very chaotic with many people arrested.

The Head of Civil Rights and Livelihood Watch Detained

Human Rights Defenders reported that Liu Feiyue,
rights activist in Suizhou city of Hubei Province,
(also the head of Civil Rights and Livelihood Watch),
was detained by police for three days.
Since we failed to contact his cell phone, we don’tknow
where he has been detained, and when he will be freed.

The report says Liu Feiyue was taken away by
Suizhou city police on January 18th.
The reason is possibly relative to the National People’s
Congress and Chinese People’s Political Consultative
Congress which are going to be held in Hubei Province.

Liu has been dedicated to China’sdemocracy and
human rights activities for years.
He also established Civil Rights and Livelihood Watch
Detained, a website focusing on rights of the victims.
He has been monitored by local government, lost his internet,
under house arrest, assaulted, and summoned for years.
