United States tries to Oust CCP with new “Five Black Groups”, claims People’s Daily

The CCP’s mouthpiece newspaper People’s daily recently
published an article which claimed that,
the United States has concentrated on “five groups of people”
to influence the underclass Chinese and further change Chinese society in the name of “protecting Internet freedom”.
Commentators believe that, this article suggests that
the CCP authority might strengthen its suppression of citizens as the 18th National Congress approaches.

On July 31st, the CCP’s mouthpiece media People’s daily
published a review article titled
“The real challenges for China will come in 5-10 years”
in its international edition.
The article wrote that, the real trouble for China did not come
from global or neighbor situations, but rather from internal reform and social ecology.
It also claimed that, the United States would “impede or
interfere with” China’s “rising up” with non-military measures.

The article also attempted to criticize the United States,
claiming that it concentrated on “human rights lawyers,
underground religious groups, dissidents, Internet leaders
and vulnerable groups” to influence the Chinese underclass and
create conditions for overthrowing the current regime
from the bottom of society.

Chen Yongmiao, a Beijing constitutional scholar remarked
that, those five groups used to be only “gray groups” to the CCP;
this time the CCP has defined them as “black groups”,
or “enemy groups” just to shift the Chinese people’s hostility to foreign forces.

(Chen Yongmiao, constitutional scholar):”Finally the CCP
took the move to define those groups as “class enemies” through the People’s Daily article.
In its history the CCP has never stopped
blaming the United States.
In fact all the conflicts come from its dictatorship regime,
not from the United States.
However, it needs to shift all the hostility to the United States
to shirk its responsibilities.”

Chinese human rights lawyer Tang Jingling remarked that,
the CCP’s trick of inspiring nationalism has not worked since a long time ago;
however, the article might reflect that the CCP tended to
strengthen its suppression on civilians as the 18th National Congress approached.

(Tang Jingling, Chinese human rights lawyer):”In each political
movement, the CCP has defined some groups as enemies.
It has suppressed those people to threaten other groups to
unconditionally follow their commands. This political trick never changes.
If we say this trick might still have worked several years ago
by advocating that the United States is the enemy,
now almost no netizens will be fooled anymore.”

In addition, Tang Jingling remarked that the CCP was
encountering unprecedented difficulties both from inside
and outside, therefore it tried to shift Chinese people’s
attention by blaming the United States.

(Tang Jingling):”Diplomatically, the CCP has problems in
territorial disputes with neighboring countries.
Economically, the problems come from domestic economic
recession and international trade.
Meanwhile, the CCP also has to deal with more and more
human rights problems as well as social problems
including sharply increasing living costs. All these troubles
result from the CCP’s improper governance.”

Tang said, during China’s development in recent years,
CCP officials’ corruption to benefit themselves had exploded in the guise of the protection of the “national benefit”;
the corruption in both internal and external affairs hence
induced a sharp increase of those black groups among the population.

(Tang Jingling):”Just to talk about human rights lawyers
for example, there were very few of them in 2003 or several years earlier.
But we have seen more and more lawyers joining
this group nowadays.
I believe that the CCP’s suppression can never really stop
the trend that more people are standing up to protect their freedom and rights.”

After the People’s Daily threw out its new definition of
“five black groups”, the netizen ironically remarked that,
“Except for officials, every Chinese belongs to
one of the groups indicated”.
Another netizen wrote that, “What a definition of five black
groups! With this the CCP can never suppress the wrong person even with eyes closed.”

Chen Yongmiao concluded that, if a government chooses to
turn against vulnerable civilians rather than protect them,
the people will resort to violence to protest against tyranny.
