【新唐人2011年2月14日讯】独裁统治了埃及30年的穆巴拉克，在全国民众18天的抗议示威下，于2月11号晚被迫宣布辞职。埃及和中国一样，都是战略要地、人口大国和文明古国，在埃及成功获得自由和民主之后，有人好奇：“这个时候，中国的胡锦涛在想什么呢？”
《纽约时报》记者纪思道（Nicholas Kristof）不仅这些天在埃及开罗的解放广场上，在89年6月，他也在中国北京的天安门广场上。而在突尼斯革命爆发后、埃及民众走上街头生之前，纪思道曾在自己的脸书网页上询问，“下一个突尼斯会在哪里？”多数读者回答他：“会是埃及！”埃及革命成功后，他在博客上写到，“这个时候，中国的胡锦涛在想什么？”
2月11号晚，埃及副总统苏莱曼宣布，总统穆巴拉克决定辞职。埃及最高军事委员会将接管总统权力。消息传出，举国欢庆，开罗市民和抗议者不断按响动汽车喇叭，挥动旗帜。
法国国际广播电台前中文部主任、资深媒体人吴葆璋：“埃及民众过去17天艰苦卓绝的抗争必将以金字载入史册。”
随后，美国总统、法国总统、德国总理、英国首相等都迅速发表公开声明，表示欢迎。
美国总统欧巴马：“埃及人民说出心声，他们声音已被听到，埃及从此永不一样。”
然而就在一天前，穆巴拉克发表电视讲话。不仅拒绝立即下台，而且煽动民族主义，说自己不屈服于任何外国压力。但是，抗议民众不为其所动，坚持要求独裁者立即下台。现场直播的多家西方媒体也一致抨击穆巴拉克。
而在大陆，中共当局不仅封锁埃及民众抗争的真实消息，而且利用舆论工具说，埃及是由于外国势力的干涉而出现了暴乱。
法国国际广播电台前中文部主任、资深媒体人吴葆璋：“穆巴拉克和为他帮腔的中共当局永远不会明白，这场革命根本不是什么外国指令而引发的，而是专制独裁下，民众积累多年的愤懑与痛苦的爆发。”
美国著名人权活动家、六四学生领袖唐柏桥，预见了11号埃及革命的成功。
美国著名人权活动家唐柏桥：“因为它给我们是一个预演、一次演习。埃及可以说跟中国的情况最相似，它既是和美国有比较密切的关系，也是中东最大的国家，同时它又是一个文明古国，人口也将近一亿。那么，如果埃及革命能成，中国革命为什么不能成？”

Egyptian Revolution Successful; What is Hu Jintao Thinking?
The 30-year dictator of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak, announced his resignation on the night of Feb. 11, after 18-day mass protests across the country.
Egypt and China are both strategically important, populous, and possess ancient civilizations. After Egypt obtained freedom and democracy, people wonder: What is China’s Hu Jintao thinking?
New York Times reporter Nicholas Kristof spent days on Egyptian capital Cairo’s Liberation Square. In June 1989, he was also on the Tiananmen Square. After the jasmine revolution broke out in Tunisia, before the Egyptians took to the streets,
Kristof asked on Facebook, “Which is the next Tunisia?" Many responded: “It is Egypt!" After the success of the Egyptian revolution, Kristof blogged, “So What is Hu Jintao Thinking Now?"
On Feb. 11, Vice President Suleiman announced, Egyptian President Mubarak decided to resign. Supreme Military Council takes over presidential powers. Upon hearing the news, the entire Egypt is jubilant. Citizens and protesters in Cairo continue to wave flags.

Subsequently, the U.S. president, French president, German chancellor, and British Prime Minister all made a public statement to welcome the news.
President Obama: People of Egypt have spoken.Their voices have been heard, and Egypt will never be the same."
In Mubarak’s previous day TV speech, he refused to step down immediately, and tried to incite nationalism, saying he doesn’t bow to foreign pressure. However, the protesters didn’t back off. They insisted the dictator to step down immediately. Western media also criticized Mubarak unanimously.
In China, the authorities blocked the true news about Egyptian people’s struggle and used media to lie that foreign forces interfered to cause the Egyptian riots.
Wu Baozhang: Mubarak and his ally, the CCP regime, will never understand that it is not a revolution triggered by foreign command. it is a public outbreak of years of frustration and pain under a dictatorship.
Activist and ex-student leader in 1989,Tang Baiqiao, foresaw the success of Egypt’s revolution.
Tang Baiqiao: It gives us a preview, a rehearsal. Egypt is quite similar to China.
It has close ties with the U.S. It is the largest country in the Middle East.
It is a country with ancient civilization. Its population is nearly 100 million.
So, if the Egyptian revolution can be successful, why can’t the Chinese revolution be successful?
