Tang Prize Winner Yu Ying-shih Criticizes Communist Confucianism

Tang Prize, also known as Asian Nobels, seeking to promote
the spirit of the Tang Dynasty, was first introduced in June
this year in Taiwan.

Five laureates of the first Tang Prize received their award
and honor in Taiwan.

Dr. Yu Ying-shih, the inaugural winner of the 2014 Tang Prize
in Sinology, indicates the Communist regime’s political
purpose in world-wide promotion of Confucianism.

The first Tang Prize was held in Taipei on Sept. 18.

President Ma Ying-jeou attended the ceremony.

Taiwanese tycoon Dr. Yen-Liang Yin (Samuel Yin) founded
the Prize on US$100 million.

It is a set of biennial international awards bestowed in a number
of categories with awards of US$1.67 million,
for the highest academic awards.

The prize was named after the Tang Dynasty.

characterized by its integration of religions, cultures,
and ethnicities, for which reason it became a golden age
in Chinese history .

‘Confucianism is about the human.
The dignity of the human is democracy.’ “

and cultural history with an emphasis on his profound research
into the history of public intellectuals in China,

The 84-year-old Yu Ying-shih has great concern about the
future of Taiwan. In the press conference of the Tang Prize,

he said, “This freedom is hard to get on this land (Taiwan),
do not carelessly lose it.”

He also warned Taiwan to be alert to the Chinese Communist
Party (CCP) for its attitude towards Hong Kong’s Occupy
Central and its infiltration of Taiwan.

Yu Ying-shih: “It will penetrate, it will have all kinds of people
come in (Taiwan), it can also acquire your newspapers.
These are all pursuable. Once it’s done, public opinion
will slowly get influenced."

Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou met the 2014 Tang Prize
laureates on the 18th and indicated, the Republic of China
aims to lead Chinese culture, and to develop
a distinct Chinese culture combining both ancient culture
and progressive thinking.

Legislator Yu, Mei-Nu also stresses that in Taiwan,
the government is the people’s mandate, the people enjoy
human rights and dignity.

Taiwan’s democracy, freedom and the rule of law are in line
with the trend of modern society, the people-oriented traditional
Chinese culture; whereas the one-party Communist tyranny
sees the people as a ruler’s tool.

Yu, Mei-Nu: “The CCP has completely destroyed Chinese
culture during the Cultural Revolution.

The CCP has no human nature, cares none of the human,
and is nothing but a political machine.

That’s why Taiwan has become the leader in Chinese culture."

But, CCP has established 465 Confucius Institutes worldwide,
since 2004, in the name of developing traditional Chinese culture.

In 2009, CCP also began to its big propaganda by expanding
its major media overseas with a budget as high as
45 billion yuan.

2010, the CCP established the Confucius Peace Prize
and awarded the prize to people such as Russian President
Vladimir Putin and former chair of the Buddhist Association
of China, monk Yi-Cheng.

Yu Ying-shih lamented the CCP’s conduct. At first, the CCP
accused China’s political party KMT of engaging in tyranny
by promoting Confucianism, and blamed Confucius;
but now, the CCP promotes Confucianism.

He believes it is all propaganda with political purposes.

Chinese historian Li Yuanhua: “His academic background
entitles him to know what the real traditional culture is about.

He sees exactly how the CCP has destroyed Chinese
traditions step by step since 1949."

Professor Li Yuanhua indicates that Dr. Yu Ying-shih has
clearly understood the CCP’s tactics in promoting Confucianism.

Establishing the Confucius Institutes is meant
to expand CCP influence and to deceive the world.
