香港主權移交後，成為了中共統治下的一個採用所謂「一國兩制」的特區，也是中共統治的中國土地上，唯一還可以每年公開舉行燭光晚會，悼念「六四」死難者的地方，香港因此也被外界認為是「反共基地」、「反共橋頭堡」。
英國廣播公司《BBC》中文網5月28號報導，香港「愛國民主運動聯合會」（支聯會）主席李卓人接受專訪時說：「香港是反共基地有甚麼問題？以此為榮，甚麼都不怕，而且十分開心香港成為了反共基地。」
香港市民支持「支聯會」，25年來一直堅持要求中共當局平反「六四」，從當年參與營救「六四」學生和逃亡者的「黃雀行動」，到今天，他們仍然一年一度，在香港維多利亞公園舉辦悼念「六四」死難者的燭光晚會。
秋後算賬 參加「六四」公祭人士被抓
而在中國大陸，隨著「六四」25週年紀念日的臨近，中共對相關人士的打壓也加劇。
據《自由亞洲電臺》報導，5月26號晚，河南鄭州警察帶走了石玉、侯帥、方言等五人，他們都參加了今年2月在河南滑縣舉行的「六四公祭」活動。27號，他們的代理律師常伯陽、姬來松，也被警方以涉嫌「聚眾擾亂公共秩序罪」帶走。
同時，「公祭」活動的主持人，余世文和陳衛夫婦也與外界失去聯絡。
今年2月2號，大陸各地的40多名人士到河南滑縣公祭前中共總書記趙紫陽、胡耀邦以及「六四死難者」。現場樹立起寬6米、高4米的祭奠板，上面寫著「公祭6.4英烈，緬懷耀邦紫陽」。當時現場有警察在場監視，但沒有阻擾公祭活動，事後也沒有對抓捕參與者。
蘇州六百工人罷工 遭三百警鎮壓
江蘇蘇州市「英濟電子塑膠有限公司」工人，日前發起罷工維權活動，抗議公司未作賠償就先行搬廠。
據《中國茉莉花革命》網站報導，「英濟公司」600名工人5月21號開始罷工，22號遭到約300名警察的鎮壓，大約有80人被打傷，30人被抓走。

Hong Kong Alliance: Hong Kong, The Anti-Communist Base
Hone Kong become a special zone under the one country,
two system policy and still mourns June 4 victims with
annual candlelight vigils after the sovereignty transfer.
It is known as an anti-communist base or
anti-communist bridgehead.
On May 28, the BBC Chinese website reported that Hong
Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements
in China Chairman, Lee Cheuk-yan was interviewed.
He said: “We are proud and happy without fear that Hong
Kong is an anti-communist base.”
Hong Kong people support the Hong Kong Alliance and
requested that Chinese authorities redress the June 4 issues
after 25 years.
People still organize annual memorial candlelight vigils
for June 4 at Victoria Park in Hong Kong after the action
torescue the students and fugitives on June 4 in 1989.
Participants in the June 4 Memorial Event Arrested
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) intensified suppression
on people connected to the 25th anniversary activities of the
approaching June 4 anniversary in Mainland China.
According to a Radio Free Asia report, on May 26, Henan
police took away 5 people including Shi Yu, Hou Shuai, and
Fang Yan who participated in the June 4 memorial in February
in Henan Hua County .
On May 27, their attorneys Chang Boyang and Ji Laisong were
taken away on charges of public order offence.
Meanwhile, the memorial event host Yu Shiwen and Chen
Wei also lost contact with other participants.
On February 2, over 40 people came to pay their respects to
the former CCP General Secretary Zhao Ziyang, Hu Yaobang
and June 4 victims at Henan Hua County.
A memorial plate of 6 meters by 4 meters high is inscribed
with text: “6.4 martyrs memorial, recalling Yaobang Ziyang".
The police monitored the scene, but did not interrupt
or arrest the participators afterwards.
Six Hundred Workers Striking in Suzhou Suppressed
In Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, Megaforce Electronic
Plastic Co., Ltd. workers sent on strike to protest at the
company moving without compensating them.
According to Chinese Jasmine Revolution Web site report,
600 workers from Megaforce Company started a strike on
May 21 and were suppressed by 300 police on May 22.
About 80 people were injured and 30 were arrested.
