美國《華盛頓郵報》10月24號報導,中共前重慶市委書記薄熙來正在監獄等待刑事指控,他的直系親屬已經收到警告,不要聘請任何律師。

報導引述跟薄谷家關係密切的人士的話說,薄熙來的岳母已經為他聘請了兩名律師,但他們無法見到薄熙來。

報導還引述薄家朋友的話說,薄熙來的兄弟姐妹也都已接到官方的警告,不要替薄熙來聘請律師。

另外,據前中共總書記胡耀邦的智囊阮銘分析,薄熙來案不可能在十八大前判決,中共的人大常委會撤銷薄熙來的代表資格後,薄案將在十八大後審判。

寧波抗議PX升級 週末恐萬人示威

《中國茉莉花革命》網站報導,10月25號,寧波市鎮海區數千居民繼續上街示威堵路,抗議中石化二甲苯(PX)污染專案落戶當地。當局出動大批警察封鎖通往鎮海城區的主要道路,並派警車在村口攔截,防止附近村民上街。但仍有上千民眾衝破封鎖,聚集在城區的主要路口示威抗議。

這是當地居民上街抗議的第四天。示威者與警察衝突,已有多人被捕。當地居民揚言,本週末將發動數萬人大示威,一定要把PX趕出鎮海。

據了解,鎮海所有的機關和事業單位都下了通知,凡是參與抗議活動的員工,一律解僱。

陳光誠獲2012年人權獎

10月24號,中國盲人維權人士陳光誠獲得美國人權組織「人權至上(Human Rights First)」頒發的2012年人權獎。頒獎儀式在紐約舉行,去年曾試圖到山東臨沂探望他的好萊塢明星克里斯汀•貝爾(Christian Bale),親自為他頒獎。

陳光誠在致辭中表示,他雖然沒有受過正規法律訓練,但不是非得去學校才能明白甚麼是正義。無辜的人被暴打,有良心的人不會袖手旁觀。中共政府對他多年的無理打壓,不是因為個人,而是因為害怕中國人互相幫助,害怕中國人不再害怕共產黨,因為那樣暴力和威脅就不起作用了。

北京清剿訪民迎18大「零上訪」

據《法國國際廣播電臺》報導,北京警方已經從10月19號開始,對在京訪民實施清理出京工作,目前已由市中心向遠郊區逐步收縮清剿訪民的範圍,以達到中共18大開幕時,北京「零」上訪的要求。

報導說,清剿訪民時,由北京警察出面,不分新、老訪民、上訪一律扣押,立即轉交所屬省市的駐京辦。而各個省市的駐京辦及「赴京截訪工作組」,則在電話旁24小時待命,接到北京警方通報,就迅速到指定地點接收訪民,及時遣返,不許延誤,不許滯留。

U.S Media: Bo Xilai Awaits Criminal Charges, Family Receives Warning

On October 24, The Washington Post reported
that Bo Xilai, former party secretary of Chongqing is awaiting criminal charges in prison.
His family members have received
warning not to hire any attorneys.

The report quoted sources close
Bo Xilai’s family, and that of Gu Kalai.
Bo’s mother-in-law has hired two attorneys
for Bo, but they aren’t able to see Bo.

The report also quoted friends of Bo’s family.

Bo’s brothers and sisters had received
an official warning not to hire attorneys for Bo.

Analysis by Ruan Ming, the former brainpower of CCP
General Secretary Hu Yaobang, suggests Bo can’t be sentenced before the 18th National Congress.
After the Standing Committee removed Bo’s
representative position, it said that he would be sentenced after the 18th Natonal Congress

10,000 People Set to Protest in Ningbo Against PX Project

“Chinese Jasmine Revolution" website reported
that on October 25, several thousand people
continued to protest against the PX project
starting in Zhenhai District, Ningbo.
Authorities deployed large numbers of police to
blockade the main road leading into Zhenhai District.
Police cars blocked the entrance to the village
to prevent the nearby villagers from protesting.
However, several thousand people broke through the
blockade, and gathered on the main city roads to protest.

This is the forth protest of local residents.

Demonstrators clashed with police
and several people were arrested.
Local residents alleged that several tens of thousands
of people would protest this weekend and by all means,
they would drive the PX project out of Zhenhai.

It is understood that all organs and institutions gave notice:
All the employees who attended the protests would be fired.

Chen Guangcheng Wins 2012 Human Rights Award

On October 24, Chinese blind activist Chen Guangcheng
won the 2012 Human Rights Award from the organization of “Human Rights First (HRF) “, which is based in the U.S.
The award ceremony is held in New York.

Hollywood star Christian Bale, who tried to visit Chen
last year, personally presented him with the award.

In his opening remarks, Chen expressed that though
he hadn’t received formal legal training, he understood what justice is, and not only from school.
If the innocent kids were beaten, people
with conscience can’t only stand by.
The CCP authorities spent several
years illegally suppressing him.
This is not only because of his individuality, but also because
the CCP is afraid of Chinese people helping each other.
They are afraid that if the Chinese people aren’t afraid
of the CCP, their force and the menace is no longer useful.

Zero Petition Tolerance, Beijing Cleaning Up Petitioners.

Radio France Internationale (RFI) reported
that from October 19, Beijing police have started moving petitioners out of Beijing.
Now, they have gradually expanded their range from
the center to the outer suburbs, in order to carry out zero petition tolerance before the 18th Congress.

The report said that Beijing police came
forward when clearing the petitioners.
No matter whether they were new or old petitioners,

they would be detained and immediately sent
to the BJO (Beijing office) where they came from.
While the BJO and working teams intercepting
petitioners in all the provinces and cities were on call.
As soon as they received calls from the Beijing police,

they immediately go to appointed sites to receive the
petitioners repatriating on time. This can』t be delayed and slowed.
